Same old, same old, with Rosebank using the tried and true method setting themselves to be able to bat out their 80 overs most weeks, leaving it a 2 horse race once again and the Kooks being clear favourites.
To save all the heart ache, Darebin should have just organised with the council to play their main games on the unfenced little ground that is on the otherside of the driveway.
Pretty simple really.
I'm sure all the opposition clubs would much prefer to play on that 20 cent piece.
People complained about the fixture how it use to be with 12 team grades, people complain about having to play 1 sunday in the fixture as it is now. Can't please everyone all the time. Thought having the Sunday game this early in the season when the lower grades had not started was a good thing...
5 weeks till the start of the season and it all seems very quiet around the traps.
Is there no much happening or is everyone going about their business very quietly?
There in part lies the problem. I don't begrudge any club bettering their standard of cricket as all clubs should be trying to do this, but it just creates a merry go round of people that move from club to club chasing the $$$$$
As I said, from the relegated clubs. If your looking for game breakers/winners out of them, clearly you'll need glasses as there won't be many at all, hence clubs being relegated.....
That time of year again. The rumour mill has started about which players are on the move.
As per usual, hearing that there are a few movements from clubs that have been relegated.
Will be interested to see what becomes fact or fiction.....
Any prepared to go out on a limb and confirm, or are...
I think you would be hard pressed to find a club that didn't know. The way social media is these days, I think most people/clubs would of been aware of it probably the night it happened.
PC, never said he was going, just that West were into him. They were pretty confident they could talk him across. That's about 5 players from different clubs now, that I've heard that are supposedly moving, only to find that they have joined their respective committees.
