No umpire is ever going to get 100% of decisions right 100% of the time. At any level, anywhere.
Like players, some will be better than others and will umpire higher grades and you can't help getting the lesser skilled umpires in lower grades. It's all part of the level of cricket we play...

Mernda in pretty good nick, good grass coverage, not too uneven. Needs a mow, but that'll be done before Saturday.
Having footy finish early is always a bonus!
To Jason Henderson - You know yourself who you are, and there is a club full of blokes who know who you're not. To go along with the misinformation put on this forum by someone who thought they were reliably informed, but weren't, is a weak act. Plain and simple. Dragging a club that you have...
Apparently he was told his services wouldn't be required beyond the end of this season on the eve of the finals...
Not sure what happened there, maybe PA can shed some light?
I'm not going to go through page after page, but feel free to head over to the Barclay Shield threads as a case in point. I'm sure it won't be hard for you to find at least a couple of posts pointing out to Money Shield posters that their threads exist for them to talk all things Money Shield...
Some of you blokes are red hot.
You're happy to go with the whole "************ off, this is the X Grade forum, don't bring your Y Grade crap in here" when it suits you, but when someone pulls you up on it like BL has done you get your backs up!
I don't care either way and am happy to be able to talk...
3 Divisions has to come in, especially now given B Grade will be littered with 1st XI teams playing 2nd XI teams- What's the point of those 2nd XI teams even showing up, theoretically? At the end of the day they're, theoretically, fighting it out for 4th/5th with the premiers coming from 1st...
And to be quite honest, outside the top 6 in D Grade this year, a lot of sides will struggle to be competitive against most Money Shield 2nd XI's so it's not necessarily a bad thing with 9 coming out of C Grade.
JD spent two nights in hospital - Severe dehydration, exhaustion and cramping among other things.
He's been released this morning, all well and good.
Great effort by Gibbsy who stuck around til 9pm on Sunday night waiting with JD and a few others for the ambulance to arrive.
Simple solution - All designs of kids tops had to be approved by the comp in the first place, so we make it that the same tops need to be used in senior cricket.
A couple might need a bit of tweaking here and there, but I don't reckon it's a big problem.
Not big enough to stand in the way of...
Coloured tops for one day games from next season onwards is being discussed by the exec at the end of season review.
I'm for it. Think it's a good move, but we need to keep some tradition in the 2 day games for me.
