Big news out of the DVCA meeting last night that will concern the current bottom 4 or so from Money Shield.
From next year on the comp will have a MAXIMUM of 12 teams per grade.
That means the bottom 2 from MS this year will play B Grade next, bottom 4 from B Grade will play C Grade and so...
Can categorically deny it's Mernda.
We're dissapointed he's not playing tonight and will most likely have a few boys going to Red Leap next month to watch.
It's a massive get by Mill Park and good luck to them, as I said, our only gripe is that he won't play us!
Pull up mate!
The fact you're having a crack at me for sticking up for one bloke who does, in my opinion, a pretty good job says a lot about your character.
I've got no problem with people having opinions, everyone has and is entitled to them. My problem is when ill informed numb skulls like...
Why wouldn't you go to your delegate to try and get a rule changed if you're not happy with it? Or (looking back on your previous posts) make a phone call to someone who has time to get to the club during the week and get them to do it.
I might be dumb, but I can't see the logic in getting on...
There is no rule there to be administered, you idiot! We have a wet weather rule where each game is dealt with on its own. That's the rule, no more, no less.
Go to your club delegate this week and get him to make a call to the comp RE a rule change for next season.
Say to him "I want a rule...
Big rumour going around training last night was that none other than Bradley "leave my boy alone" Hodge will be pulling on the pads for Mill Park in the Regional 20/20 comp this season...
Any truth?
There was talk on another thread about the radio show being on a Thursday night so clubs could have it play through the rooms while selection is happening - I'm not for that, but what about one of the members of the panel, or someone they nominate, get out to one club per week/fortnight to do a...
Are you serious?
I'd re-phrase that as "not enough" clubs were in favour of the 120 over a side GF. Only one vote under the 2/3 majority and the proposal falls over. From where I was sitting there were more than a handful of clubs that were in favour, just not enough to get it across the line...
The "why are we going backwards" line was trotted out before the vote to revert back to the 120 overs across 3 days GF's.
Surely a Sat/Sun 80 over game is the more backward option?
Not sure why people/clubs wouldn't want to make the GF a showcase event played over a more challenging conditions?
The Grand Final last year ended up being a bit of a farce, IMO.
I preferred it to be 120 overs per side across 3 days. It made the event a bit of a showcase. It's like the Sheffield Shield being played over 5 days instead of 4. Adds to the prestige. But, having said that, I'm happy to see it...
Good news out of the AGM tonight - The DVCA has a president for season 2012/13 in Joe Flemming.
Rule changes: All Grand Finals and Semi Finals will be played as per any home and away season game. Only difference being they'll be Sat/Sun with the next Sat as a reserve day.
Playing dates will...
Exactly! Not sure why some blokes can't seem to help themselves.
There's plenty of decent discussion going on around this muppet, no need to take anything he/they say on board at all!
Would love some actual cricket related posts to read instead of the dribble coming out of the Rumours thread...
Has anyone heard anything regarding recruits to BS clubs? Any inter-club movements?
Hearing a lot about Money Shield recruiting, movements, etc - Surely there have been at least a...
