Coincidently, I found some similar advice here - http://www.pitchvision.com/how-to-choose-a-bat-you-are-proud-enough-to-sleep-with, under the weight heading.
I have to buy a new bat and I'm a little stumped as to what weight to for. Personally, I like light but some people have been saying I need to get someone with a little more meat on it.
I can live with either but are there any benefits to having a 3 pound bat as opposed to a 2 pound 6 one?
Jeez, I had forgotten all about Symonds.
As for Hussey, I just don't think you can carry players who might be an injury risk. The squad is small(ish) and it only takes a couple of injuries and you're in trouble. Taking a player who is doubtful for the first few games is a hella risk.
Plenty of stuff to talk about in relation to India, they have to be facing a lot of pressure especially with it being a home tournament. How do you rate their chances?
The guy is 35 and injured so is it right that he is shocked at being left out? Sure he was in good form for part of Ashes but that is test cricket, not 50 overs.
For me it was obvious that he wouldn't go but it seems Hussey had other ideas. Patriotic or something else?
babai_here - hope you don't mind but I've merged this in with main World Cup thread. I'd rather have everything in one place than two competing threads.

The countdown begins with less a fortnight to go. Played in Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh this is looking to be one of the most open tournaments for a number of years. The big guns are pretty evenly matched - all have their strengths but all have at least one killer weakness, whether it be...
@someblokecalleddave - would love a professional to come on but baby steps first I think. I have one or two ideas so will work on those and see where it leads.
