Congratulations Brighton CC, who join Melton, Plenty Valley & Oakleigh as the only winners in the 8 year history of this competition. Sounded like some type of final, especially with the Semi-Finals so close as well.
In the Pennant comp, only two rounds to go, and probably 8 teams in both...
Yep, stunning. Over 800 runs including T20. Even more surprising is their lowly ladder position considering this outstanding batting contribution. 134 more runs than the next best player. Has really feasted on the newcomers to the comp.
Yep, certainly highest I can recall as well, Rory plays at Kingston Heath CC, and also made 72 the day before in the Craig comp.

According to the twitter updates Ormond were on 90 at the halfway mark of the innings, then went on to compile 273!
Jayde is close friends with two of our previous First XI captains, he's moving back to Melbourne for work, that's the connection. Both are still involved at the club, without playing.
There was a lot of rain, I wouldn't be surprised if a few lower XI games don't get up. We got our covers down on Wednesday night, so pitch will be bone dry, but I can sympathise if a few grounds in rain belt areas are not playable.

Out of line hidden, don't need that type of comment here. You are very welcome to participate in any discussion, express your opinions, I'm not even against rumours, but resorting to this type of petty unprovoked name-calling is beneath the level of our competition or anything associated with it.
It would be remiss not to congratulate and welcome aboard our two newest clubs, Taylors Lakes CC and St.Bernards OCCC. I am certain they will both make a strong, positive impact on the competition moving forward.
Also best of luck to our two departing members, Sunshine CC & Roxburgh-Park...
Completely subjective of course, but Erasmus versus 2015/16 finalists:
Caulfield - 53
Oakleigh - 11 & 7*
Ormond - 41
Yarraville - 11
Hoppers Crossing - 51
Pretty good, and certainly worthy of consideration. Brambleby's argument included taking 3/11 and 3/17 in the T20 Semi and Grand Final...
Looking forward to tonight's event, should be another great affair, with Pete Lazer back hosting.
I reckon the Holten Medal will be a low count affair, and my form guide is below.
16 - Grenville
14 - Dean.S
13 - Fort / Paterson
11 - Wild / Thorne

Great effort by the Eagles, first time in their history having all four teams in the finals since their inception to Subbies in 1932/33*. Also credit to perennial power Plenty Valley for the same achievement, and Bayswater the rising giant!
On form, looking like the NE group could be Plenty...
Tremendous performance by Croydon & Yarraville CC's on qualifying all four senior teams for the first time in their clubs history's.
Some incredible results in the First XI's over the weekend, 2nd, 3rd & 4th all losing in the SW group, and 2nd & 3rd losing in the NE and dropping to 4th and 5th...
Obviously not playing in that group, this is very much an outsider's opinion, but at least in the First XI their stats don't look too bad, over 1,000 runs scored (20 more than conceded), and 47 wickets taken, only 12 less than they've lost. Certainly not the indicative numbers of a team in last...
