Re: 2009 Season Targets:
Well, in the nets at our club we just basically volunteer ourselves to bat, and I've been making sure I get in fairly early to get a decent bat, and on Sunday I had a decent session and think I definitely impressed. I'm not sure what happened with my batting on Sunday...
Re: 2009 Season Targets:
I batted higher in the first few games of my first season than I did last year. I opened for the Academy side in my first season for quite a few games, but the highest I batted last year was 4, and that was once and I made 9. I batted at 11 twice and the rest of the...
Re: 2009 Season Targets:
Bowler, open more often than not for the B Team, but am constantly improving. I'd be well annoyed if I was a batsman and batting at 9 or 10 :P
Re: 2009 Season Targets:
Hit.Nail.Head.
Basically, because I've only been playing 2 seasons I'm overlooked in favour of others who've been playing for a while and are close friends with the captain. I'm hoping I impressed the B Team skipper last night though, he was bowling to me, and I was...

Update- Final Winter Net Session
Well guys, first update for a while, and just thought I'd let you know how I did in my final Winter Net Session. Well, it has to be my best ever winter net session. I just seem to be getting better and better...

Re: 2009 Season Targets:
I want to get 25 wickets this season. Managed 18 wickets at 24 last season, and I'm a far better bowler now than I was last season. Not sure about runs, was given very limited oppurtunities with the bat last year, sometimes batting as low as 11 =/ I could score some...
Re: McGain is hopeless?
Wow, and I thought Krejza was bad! 4 pacers seems the way forward for Australia now! Johnson, Siddle, Clark and Lee/Hilfenhaus would be my picks. Although for the good of England I think Australia should go with Bollinger, Watson, McDonald and McGain :D
Re: Flower searches for Twenty20 solution
I'm an Essex fan though, and have rated Napier even before that big innings. You say his bowling won't trouble a decent batting line-up, yet he's deadly accurate, consistently bowls at over 90mph, gets abit of movement in the air and off the seam, and...
Re: Flower searches for Twenty20 solution
Mascheranhas is more than useful as a lower order hitter. Foster would probably move down to 8 with Napier batting at 7, and he's capable of massive strikes. Hit 150 in a T20 last year! Foster's a very good OD batsman, very composed, has some...
Re: Flower searches for Twenty20 solution
The reason we're still failing is because we're not picking the right players. The T20 side we put out should be:
Denly/Key
Bopara
Pietersen *
Shah
Flintoff
Mascheranhas
Foster +
Napier
Broad
Swann
Anderson/Bresnan
Whereas we're picking...
Re: my 20/20 world 11
Playing for around 4 years? You honestly don't know what you're talking about. Pietersen has been playing the game for years, and he didn't claim to know more than Peter Moores. Pietersen didn't like the way Moores was running the team, and felt that England didn't need...
Re: my 20/20 world 11
You clearly know absoloutely nothing about Kevin Pietersen, and are basing your opinion on him from the ridiculous comments made by Allan Border (iirc) when he left Australia after breaking a rib in the CB series when Border claimed he isn't a Team player and didn't have...
Re: my 20/20 world 11
Andrew Symonds is getting nowhere near my team. He may have a good record, and be a good fielder, but he's an utter arse. If he's not got the detirmination to play for Australia, then he'd not bother turning up for a World XI game. I'd much rather give him time off to go...
Re: my 20/20 world 11
Gayle
McCullum +
Pietersen
Yuvraj
Dhoni *
Misbah
Morkel
Vettori
Steyn
Bracken
Gul
As for Warner, he's signed for the Delhi Daredevils, not sure of his price though.

Update- Another Week of Winter Nets
Had another net session last night, and it was another pretty good one. Started off with us 4 quicker guys bowling in 1 net with a black square out for us to aim the ball into. I apparently failed to get the ball in the box once...

Re: Your Test World XI?
I don't see how the tone of my post could have been put in a better way. I put my point across simply and without being insulting or making derogatory comments. I don't see how the 'general tone' of my post could have been improved. It could have been a heck of alot...
