The post by slow medium said there would be 4 grades, North A & B, & West A & B. If that doesn't include North, then where do the extra sides to fill 4 grades come from, MMVCA only had a dozen or so first elevens playing turf. Are they going to cut the size down to 8 teams per grade?

Bigfish for someone who is only 20 (according to your profile) you've certainly been around. By my calculations you must have started playing at age 2 in the EBKCA, as the comp has been the North West CA since 1993.

RIP Bob Brierley. As someone from the old VJCA days of the 1970-80's I was sad to read of the passing of Bob. He was Chairman of the Match Committee & then President of the VJCA in that period & a great worker & ambassador for the competition.

It can't be too difficult to get a permit to rope off grounds. Altona North have not just taken the boundary in from the goal posts & fence, they have gone about 15 metres in. Looking at the VTCA rulebook it doesn't look too hard to get a permit under rule: E3.
