Re: DVCA - C grade and below
Can anyone tell me why our 3rds are playing a home final at Susan Street, whilst our 4ths are doing the same at Central Park.
Re: Bush Fires
I left for London last Friday morning so everything that is happening back home is just incomprehensible to me at the moment and it won't sink in until I am back (28th)...I did my teaching placement at Whittlesea Secondary College in term 3 last year, one of the Year 12...
Re: DVCA - C grade and below
I was only going by what I was told at the rooms (although it isn't exactly easy to understand our 5ths captain at the best of times)...by the way I think the umpire was actually an under 14 player.
Re: DVCA - C grade and below
What's this rumour I've heard about the ball being pegged at our f grade square leg umpire by Mill Park's keeper because a stumping or run out was given not out?
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Big news at the Panther...a very very big inclusion in D grade...dare I say someone is going to be stepping out of the shadows on Saturday....
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Rd 1 we lost to the reigning premiers by 20 runs, hardly smashed I would have thought...needing a run a ball with 6 overs left would be in a winning position?
Rd 2 only one bloke made over 10, and he made 100. And he was swing, swing, swinging.
Rd 3 as above...
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Easy to jaw off isn't it?
At least if we go down this year (I don't believe we will by the way, we could actually be 3-0), we will do so with players coming through the ranks to play 1s given the abundance of 1s players that have left.
The more games into the...
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
On what basis? We get one of our best players back this week, and our 2s had a good win as well so someone in form should come up to help out. We'll win our share of games like we normally do, we almost made the finals last year after all.
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
When I bowled one down leg that went for four leg byes, I pleaded with the umpire to just give it as byes because I didn't want Whitey walking off the field with no byes!
In all honesty we've been in positions to win both of our games, and could quite easily be 2-0...
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Rusty 18, started to get going, he didn't get me out but had me dropped which I found amusing, and I got run out.
Currently taking the nails out of my wrists!
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Outswingers, quick enough but not express, but Epping's pitch makes bowlers slower than what they are.
Didn't have one ball come back into me the whole time I was out there from him.
Re: DVCA: Barclay Shield
Panthers had a win over Royal Park yesterday, won by between 50 and 70 runs at a guess (I never checked).
No real standouts for us I don't think, nice even performance, pretty reasonable in the field.
Central Park down the ground, especially to the library end...
