Come on Brick Hands.... you’re better than that.... you really think we’d drop our club Captain to save our 2nds from relegation?
Gordy was best man in a wedding last Saturday hence why he was unavailable last Saturday...
Few blokes getting a bit precious here...
We played against Fav in c grade one dayer before Christmas and what a great challenge and learning curve for our young bowlers. He got 70 odd and we still got the win.
In saying that what Tongs says happens in his comp is pure logic... don’t lose...
The reason why the hdca clubs have been successful in their transition to the dvca in recent times is the clubs are positioned well within their local community. As well as numourus sides in both the junior and senior club.
Majority of the Nmca clubs are just made up clubs, play at a local...
What’s your motivation?
Lower grades are currently playing half one day half two day cricket now..
We had a odc which was scrapped this season because of lack of interest...
funny thing is we have all these negativity regarding sub fielders in local cricket. Yet when you analyze it, a sub fielder doesn’t give the other team any advantage whatsoever. All it does is it allows an even contest. A sub cannot bat or bowl so why are we so hung up on denying the opportunity...
Just to clarify Mitch’s partner was actually due to have a baby last Wednesday and is still expecting. Both clubs agreed to having a sub if required.
However we also had 2 blokes in the same position in the 2nds Grand Final who’s partners were due. One of the blokes wives went into labour 5am...
How this was changed in the first place without the clubs consent it beyond me.
Bring back the Reserve grades for next season is a major priority. If clubs are prepared to stack their 2’s to win a flag good luck to them.
I think you’ll find that bar Kenroy and Scona (and Darren has played at Plenty for over 10 years now) our whole side has played juniors at Plenty as well...
Would have thought brining international cricketers into the comp would be looked at in a positive light
Yeah can confirm that we received confirmation from Kenroy this morning that he is on board for the upcoming season.
Really exciting time for the club and I have no doubt that his first class and yes that 1 test match vs South Africa, expirience will be a huge asset for our group
