Basically - Yarrambat have merged with Plenty Valley CC (old BOP).
The new club's first XI will pay under the PVCC umbrella, as will all sides down to about their 5ths which will be Yarrambat's first XI.
So anyone playing Money Shield against Yarrambat will actually be playing PVCC's 5ths.
I...
The only reason Eltham get brought up every 2 minutes is because you're the only one on here that will get on and bite at anything and everything that anyone posts.
I'm tipping most of what's posted on here is posted just to give you an excuse to get up on your soap box! It's actually OK for you...
Good points.
But I believe the argument was against poaching kids, not only players as a whole.
Senior players are fair-game in my mind and can come and go as they please, as you have pointed out, but any club's junior cricketers should be left alone, in my opinion.
To be honest - Whittlesea only made the 4 by making the most of games against lower sides in B Grade.
Games against Eltham, Lalor Stars, Us (Mernda) and Research in the last 4 rounds saw 3 outrights and a draw due to bad weather where they made 270+ and had Stars 7 for 70.
Apart from those games...
You're spot on Prez - Will be on par with the bottom 5 and will probably win games against 3 or 4 of those, won't trouble the top 5.
Maybe the Strangler will be a chance to break double figures for runs/wickets against other First XI's next year, in MS of course.
I'd just like to raise a point after hearing that Mark Minney is almost certain (please confirm/deny Tongs) to be the big recruit for NEW next season...
I'm of the opinion that anyone who decides to jump ship from a club that he has been a big part of for many years, played regular First XI...
I don't want to put words in to absoluteglam's mouth but....
I'm tipping his question was one of serious sarcasm! Playing on the fact that you love yourself, rate your own ability far higher than anyone else on here or in/around the DVCA at the moment and were almost guaranteed to think that...
I'll assume you mean Money Shield when you say B Grade - If so, it's easier to look at it from a 'club' point of view.
If Bundoora have the best/worst sides in those grades nothing changes. They're free to pick the sides they want to, I doubt they'd say "We're going to play our 2nds ahead of...
No truth to that rumour.
Any side that wins B Grade will be promoted to MS, and any side that finishes last in MS will be rlegated to B Grade. It's the same right through from BS to Z Grade.
The only exception will come when a club's 2nd XI win MS and their 1st XI is already in BS (same with a...
