    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Definitely agree. I love when I get the chance to prove people wrong, it makes me bowl so much better. Though I'm lucky I haven't had to prove people wrong within my team, just had to prove the opposition wrong.

Nice, hopefully you and I can take a few fifers this year!

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Nah I've never really done this but have done it with a keeper a few times. Yeah I love the topspinner, but particularly the topspinner with just a hint of leg spin - on australian pitches that delivery really is magic. Bounce, dip, and just enough turn, and that is why it is my stock ball...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Hi, my season starts October 15. Still got a fair while to practice and get ready. My accuracy has started to really come together now, hoping it will remain that way and improve before the start of the season. That's unlucky that they won't let you play till october, even thought the weather's...

    Sorry to hear that.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I just bowl leg breaks with a hint of back spin, scrambled seam, a bit more roundarm, and this usually gives it all the chance it needs to skid on fast. Yeah I agree the flipper probably needs to be fast.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Are you guys gonna make finals?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

True, I think if you can get the flipper going in to the nets its going to be deadly on turf. When does your season end btw?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Here is a couple recent clips of my bowling. No deliveries videod were perfect, but they should do. File (3) is a legspinner which I'm pretty sure curves and drops nicely, though on a yorker length haha. File (2) is a topspinner which didn't come out with the loop I usually like to bowl them...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah astroturf I feel negates one of the important aspects of the flipper - the low bounce. But it still doesn't hide the fact that it's not coming out fast enough. Well, the slider doesn't have much backspin, whereas the flipper has full backspin. Also the flipper seems to have a higher...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I will have to post a video of my bowling again soon on here. The season is coming up (mid October), and I have solidified a couple good changes in my action over the course of the offseason. I seem to be getting some more turn, drift and dip now. Although admittedly it is hard to tell if I am...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Damn that's a lot of luck your club is having lately haha.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Certainly, week to week consistency is a weird thing for spinners. Like some days I get turn on these synthetic pitch (the one I practice on most), some days I don't. The days I'm bowling the best is when I see that I'm getting turn on that pitch. Cold is definitely a factor. Yeah I'd love to...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Wow, that's gonna be awesome. Especially since he is an offspinner, like you. Hopefully you'll get some advice?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I really like the point and third man positions though, as my go to against leg spinners is the late cut and therefore that would take away my strength and possibly serve as a way to get me out if I try it. for some context my main strategy against spinners is to get on the back foot whenever...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I'm a pretty defensive opening batsman but if I was faced with your field, I would have three main scoring options on my mind: 1. If you bowl short, I'm rocking back and trying to hook you over short square leg/fineleg area for four. Only if the ball is leg side. 2. Bowl full on the leg side and...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah I've noticed while being side on seems to get better results it does feel a bit more unnatural, at least for me. Timing is everything when you are sideon.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah preseason is just starting for me too. I'm really seeing the benefits of little tweaks in my action. I decided to try and get my front toe in delivery stride pointing more towards fine leg rather than straight down the wicket, and this seems to get me a lot more revs because of the more...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

My standard field typically looks like this: Key catchers are at first slip, short cover, and short midwicket. Any tips on the field?

Thats a good idea, I'll have to try it for sure. I dare say my areas would be similar to you.
