Re: The Graeme Smith Incident
I can understand your feelings , big moment in the game. I would also be disappointed.
In regards to Smith; there is no law stating that he has to walk, going back many years there have rarely been a player that consistantly does it (Gilchrist is the only one...
Re: Left Handed Batsmen
Yea yea but the most exciting players are left handed. (batting that is)
Gilchrist, Lara, Gayle, Katich :p, Warner, Singh, Jaysuria.... the list goes on
Re: Watson - Love him or hate him?
It has been tough with his injuries and thats why he is only starting to find his straps. Couple that with his age and he should be hitting his cricket peak around now, my only hope is that the found form won't go to his head.
Welcome to the forum as...
Re: Left Handed Batsmen
So there is still a chance that I could make it? :D
I have found when batting a lot of the bowlers take time adjusting to bowling to left handers and will send down a few loose balls to hit before getting it right. I have played at a high level and even with the...
Re: Pakistan in Australia
I don't know about him being soft, I find its more his arrogance, lack of respect and attitude towards playing cricket. His celebration in Perth was childish and over the top yet he defended himself and dragged Gayles name through mud for no reason.
Then he acted...
Re: Pakistan in Australia
Oh what a shame it was to see Watson choke again (okay wasn't entirely his fault). Couldnt of happened to a better bloke :)
Hussey will show the other guys how to convert. He steps up on the biggest stage when needed
Re: Pakistan in Australia
Wouldn't suprise me if they played both of them
Melbourne has the knack of turning late day 4-5. It detoriates pretty quickly and why wouldn't you want to play a leg spinner at the spirtual home of the great man S . K Warne.
Plus your heading to Sydney, a...
Re: Your favourite XI - not including your country of choice
Gayle - coolest man in the game
Sehwag - saw him crack 180 on day one of a boxing day test, hasn't looked back since
Dilshan - has been in one heck of a purple patch *has to drop to 3 as the great man sehwag opening*
JP...
Re: Pakistan in Australia
Please the bashing of Hussey is quite silly.
He had a very solid series from the middle order, didn't really fail and if you call it such a mediocre bowling attack why didn't any Aussies make a ton and Ponting, Clarke, North and maybe Katich all made less runs...
Re: Player of the decade
Ponting has taken off this decade. Especially the last 3-4 years
Gilchrist was immense early 2000s and has ended up a player that has revonlutionalised the way we look at wicket keepers. Smashed attacks from all over the world
Re: Pakistan in Australia
He is a future player but really we are bringing in an opener to fill the number 3 spot, bit suprising. plus the fact his form is really quite terrible minus that last hundred.
Victoria are continuing to show why they are the best state team in the country yet...
Re: West Indies in Australia
disgusting celebration from Watson. Hope he gets 50% of his match fine done.
cant see the Windies getting close with the line up to come
Sarwan will have to have a serious couple of sessions with the bat
Re: West Indies in Australia
Love it how the West Indies have 3 tons and a 90 compared to our 0 tons and a couple of 90s, 80s. Showing us boys a thing or two about concentration and application.
Watson just infuriates me or it may be the selectors persisting with a bloke who shouldn't open...
Re: All time 11 from each test playing country
The West Indies would be incredibly strong
Lara, Viv Richardson, Worrel, Weekes, Sobers, Marshall, Ambrose, Gibbs, Headley, Garner and more.
Would rival if not take down an Australian worlds greatest
Re: West Indies in Australia
Watson at least trying to swing it.
But he is showing everyone why he is not up to bowling at international level and having the tag of "all=rounder" of the Australian he doesnt deserve.
Re: Sri Lanka in India
Sehwag only 16 away from becoming the first man in history to score 3 triple hundreds.
Only off 230 odd balls and made it in under a day, something like 5 hours.
Is there a more devestating player in world cricket?
