Except if there is a ground next door with umpires, you'd probably get reported. We got pinged a few years ago for not setting up when a game was heated out because the umpires at the ground next door potted us.

Would certainly simplify the rule. Add in a clause that allows players to be promoted without the minimum number of games played for finals and I reckon it's a winner.
