I'd be more interested in seeing ex EFC player Courteny Johns playing cricket after footy finishes up this season. 194cm and 100kg of pure muscle steaming in would be an absolute site. I bet he could smack the ball a fair way too.
They're not a North Division team yet, but they will finish in...
The last home and away season was a mess. I spent more time shopping with my wife on the weekend than I did on the cricket pitch. Something has been bugging me. It's a thought I had on the train to work one morning when you're pretending not to notice everyone around you. Not taking anything at...
I have seriously never been to Newport other than to watch or play cricket. I don't really notice too much besides the cricket grounds and the refinery. Is there another side to Newport that I haven't seen? Night life, shopping strip etc???
It is 'Australian' to not respect other peoples' opinions and then act cowardly and disgracefully by calling them names over the internet? And yes, it is cowardly because I don't think he or you would be able to say them to my face. You obviously have no idea of what it is to be Australian. If...
That is very un-Australian! I do not believe your answer to be well considered or well informed. Although you have not considered your answer you are entitled to an opinion in this society (no matter how wrong) and it should be respected as should mine! Name calling is not appropriate and is an...
The Keilor under 10s team was short one day!?! ;)
I got my wife to make my profile for me (maybe she wishes I was 20)!!! I confess I'm not really a computer person, but I must say I have put big cricket at the top of my Explorer and I'm enjoying hearing views in these forums. :)
I have played...
Being a player in the WDCA and a former player of the VTCA, MMVCA and EBKCA (to name but a few) I think that I am well placed to discuss any of the above competitions. The 'mindlessness' I refer to are the people who use the term 'riff raff' on a forum without considering any of the valid...
Competitions need to learn from the strengths and weaknesses of each other. It's that kind of closed-mindedness that's going to lead to the extinction or irrelativeness of smaller competitions.
Jonesy, point taken. I guess I could 'play' in my wife's nighty without a better cricket ball, but either way that is just odd. I was merely pointing out the fact that cricket balls have been substandard and I am desperate for them to be changed....
Let me guess... only if the clothing is supplied by the VTCA's sponsor? ;)
It would be good fun to get the coloured gear on, but I'd be happy to play in my wife's nighty as long as the cricket balls are better.
