That's the real killer isn't it. I have a feeling that we're not going to get the conditions that farmers hate and batsman love for a while. I could be wrong.
I'd be interested to see how many players vie away from incentives and move to a fixed amounts due to this. The way I figure it, most of...
That would be awesome. Is there any way of lobbying the VTCA. I mean, surely they would like to ensure they remain the best suburban comp in Melbourne. Maybe an online petition?
They NEED to fix up those pink balls! They play like tennis balls after 5 overs! Too soft. They were terrible. Boundaries for first 5 overs and then the only the huge hitters can hit them after that.
Mate, I might take you up on that...
With the grounds slowing remarkably, 1000 runs in 2008/09 is comparable with 800 runs in 2010/11. As such, I doubt that we will see a 1000 run season next season. I hope I'm wrong.
That's an impressive season!!!Runs scored on Keilor's ground are well scored runs indeed. Do they still leave the grass long there for the Keilor Gift or is that something of the past? With that kind of personal performance I can see why Scott tried Premier Cricket again.
I can safely say that I made well more than 150 so my next season would be huge if I tripled.
I hope that he does it, but frankly I'm closer to vomitting on the X Factor than he (or anyone) is to making 1000 in any First XI grade. Does anyone know the last player to make 1000 runs? I'm really...
'The Executive must approve the sectioning off of playing grounds. Any Club wishing to section off part of the playing ground must apply to the Executive by 1 September each year, providing sound reasons for the requested change. A diagram of the proposed change must accompany the application...
Just ask McKinnon if they're allowed to rope off their ground. They have applied to the VTCA repeatedly to make their ground smaller and they have been denied every time! Permission is very rarely given. The VTCA normally only make exceptions for player safety reasons (ie so they won't be sued)...
I don't like Yarraville Club much either, but if Bakes got heckled he'd have every right to take it out on the hecklers! He is just a person after all and should not have to put up with such garbage particularly during a disappointing dismissal for him. People should be more understanding. Would...
my bad, good riddance I guess. So, anyone know of any club within any competition in Victoria that has atleast 5 first class (or ex first class) players?
I guess he would have been technically in Senior Division so as such was not a player being paid by a North Club so you don't have to change your name. ;)
Bentleigh will be in with a good show this season. Peter Roach is a fairly good player. I wonder how many ex first class cricketeres play in the VTCA? I have seen some Senior Division teams with 5.
