    Willy Comp 2011/2012

A completely new north west comp or a north west division in VTCA? Most of the MMVCA teams are already featured in the club section of the VTCA website. http://www.vtca.asn.au/common/pages/public/iv/clubs.aspx? Would the MMVCA turf sides join the VTCA and the Matting sides join the old NWCA...

    North A And B

The problem with most (not all) clubs at the North B level is they don't have the cash to attract quality individuals. Its the same with English soccer. The money is with the teams in the higher divisions. It takes the lower clubs years to compile a good list. If they ever do then the richer...

    North A And B

Players pay about $200 in subs at most clubs and then up to about $10 per week to play. Its a big time/money/lifestyle commitment in someone's life. Of course winning a grand final is the pinacle, but people should be recognised for their individual contributions at ALL levels. Yes, that means...

    North A And B

Supplying his contacts' names it may place him in an awkward position. Abers have many former players who have played Premier Cricket. Any chance of signing them? Nicholas Carrol, Shane Giese, Tom Godsell, Justin Baker, Viv Ion, Mark Williams, Kieran Gray, Antony Keely etc just to name a few.

    Willy Comp 2011/2012

That should be fun. North, South, West - add East and it will almost be as far reaching as subbies.

Anyone Know Of Any Moves Or Signings For The 2011/12 Season???

With over 80 teams now in the VTCA, what does this mean for the WDCA and other small local comps? We've already seen the MMVCA fold.

Both are listed on the VTCA's recently expanded list of clubs http://www.vtca.asn.au/common/pages/public/iv/clubs.aspx?

Who will be this seasons BEST umpires and earn a granny spot?

Vinnie Borg is amazing. Vinnie used to be a batsman (with a top score of 166). I think having played the game for years he is in a good position to withstand the pressure placed on him.

Ipl Popularity... Ipl Worth It Or Not

The Indian cricket board has slapped a $US50,000 ($A47,000) fine on Australian bowling legend Shane Warne for his part in a bust-up with a local administrator after an IPL game, a statement said Wednesday. Warne, captain of the Rajasthan Royals team in the Indian Premier League, was involved in...

Who will be this seasons BEST umpires and earn a granny spot?

I've noticed that at Keilor, but its not just Keilor's domain. It places too much pressure on the umpires and it must be intimidating for the umpires (who are mainly pensioners) to deal with. If we get bad umpiring then 9/10 it is the players fault for the pressuring.

    Best Competition So Far!

Getting there Bakes, in terms of quality we are probably comparable. The only thing that Sub district cricket has in its favour is that it covers more of Melbourne.

How many do you want from YC (admittedly they were a good club)? How many can you put in there from the South Teams in Senior Division?
