Can confirm this and that he’s also not happy with club/committee as a whole. Before Tongs or anyone else has a crack, that info was passed onto me by my boss who is very good friends with a well respected, long term Eltham person.
Did the Eltham skipper have a brain fade last week winning the toss and bowling? Oppressive conditions to bowl in against one of the better batting sides in comp. Lost the game there and then and now second last on ladder. Not smart:thumbsd:
No walk out. Owns his own business and is behind with work. Also has a young family, so at this point in time Saturday’s are work days. Hasn’t played since round 4 and we beat BU without him, so old Connor is a bit Sandra Sully with the late news here. He was going to look at playing after Xmas...
Well it seems that since your opinions are so well thought of an overwhelmingly popular with the punters, your a shoe in to save the comp. Geez....talk about blowing your own trumpet!
Looks like Sam Sheehan picked the right weekend to get married after all. With 9 of his ones teammates either part of the wedding party or on the guest list, it was looking like a great opportunity for Old Paradians to perhaps get a win on the board. It seems like the weather gods will intervene.
Good to see the council finally top dressing some grounds 2-3 day away from scheduled return. Considers the soil has been sitting there since the 13th of December. Just as well it’ll probably get heated off, otherwise Sand Wedges might be the weapon of choice.
I thinks he’s been a cop for more than one season. I’m sure if he wanted to play he’d have enough pull with whoever does the roster as per every other year he’s played cricket.
Agreed. I dropped into our 5ths who were playing Plenty on Saturday. We were batting and therefore scoring both books, when a Plenty bowler was about to exceed his limit. Our scorers yelled out to confirm the identity of the bowler and informed the Plenty team that he was ineligible to bowl. I’d...
Are you forgetting that you batted first and were bowled out for 104? And we also didn’t have Shannon Malone who’ll be missing until after Xmas. In all honesty I don’t think we can expect to play finals, but I do think we can win more than we lose on the way home. Obviously there are those on...
Thanks:thumbsu:. Big task rebuilding all aspects of playing, training structure and getting a better culture. With 9 players 25 or under and 5 of those under 19, we are under no illusions of how hard it’s going to be. A good win yesterday in a tight comp is hopefully a good start. 5th at the...
Adam Dale played his last game yesterday. Actually would of been nice for him to finish in Round 9, back where it all began. Great career and hopefully see him back up on the hill one day soon:thumbsu::thumbsu:
Having done the DVCA radio show today, I was told that the NMCA boys are having a spell this season. Obviously no other volunteers interested in taking it on.
not causing me any pain. This affects Jack Young as well. He copped a 2 game suspension and with D and below playing 2 rounds before round 2 of Barclay, He should be able to play Round 2.
