    Dvca - Competition Restructure

I've got a novel and simple idea. All shields to have reserve grades playing against each other's 2's on alternate grounds on same week. Yes some clubs including my owns have 2's that intitially may find it difficult to be competitive based on previous seasons but it's our responsibility to...

    Dvca - Competition Restructure

Well as of Saturday when I asked the question, no decision has been made. However if it looks anything like the above and our 2's drop 2 grades in 2 seasons after I was told it was only a one season issue and our 2's would be back playing a higher standard with the restructure, then shit will...

It's successful for Diamond Creek because they set a target of batting overs as opposed to batting to a score. Their philosophy is bat 80 overs and the score will look after itself. Whether that score is 120 or 250 their bowling attack is prepared to defend whatever is put in front of them and 9...

Credit where credits due, the set up looks sensational. The ground surface immaculate and pretty good viewing if your on the Club room terrace. Probably the only thing to whinge about is value for shots I suppose. It's a big ground and could count boundaries on one hand, but then again batting...

It will be interesting to see how Macleod approach it. Diamo too disciplined with the ball to just sit back and wait for an opportunity. Might have to show a bit of adventure and take it up to them. In saying that, I think any score between 150-180 could be more than handy.

Ahh yes, good old rumour. Spent what we have previous years. You know how it works......rumour minus 50 percent. Already recruited 2 possibly 3 for next season as well at no extra cost. In reality weren't that far off finals except for a few quirks in the seaso.

Might have been worth making the trip just to see the looks on the faces of the Riverside folk having to witness that performance.

Unfortunately i don't think he'll win and more than likely will finish with his usual 10-12 votes. Agree been an outstanding performer over 14 seasons and is a genuine all rounder who can keep, bowl, bat and great catcher wherever he fields.

As a Macleod person mate, I should hope you would be. As a neutral and after watching a bit of the Money Semi, I'll go and watch at Lower. Hope there's some positive cricket played at Mernda and none of this 108 dot balls in a row.

I like the Barclay at Eltham. Pretty good locality, accessible by train, the grounds in good condition and atmosphere is good. Don't think I'll be travelling to Mernda. Will probably head down to Lower Eltham. Just one thing Tongs.......no JW in the fridge at the Panthers today, be good if you...

Allegedly 2 A grade players plus a Captain involved. Club suspension for finals may be an option. If I was to put 2 and 2 together and get 4, I'd suggest it may have had something to do with an individual's attitude to a past player and his seeming obcession with revenge. Refer to my previous...

Serg isn't happy re one of my previous posts, so is putting the boots in;). I can assure Serg that my post was spot on and would have proceeded as planned but the skipper found out the spotlight was on and ditched it. Also bit of a rumour of an altercation at MCC reverse draw on Sunday involving...

Perhaps if Plenty Valleys side was any good then they should have been promoted to C grade on merit. And besides my argument was and always has been the exec bending rules to suit whatever agenda they're running at the time. We were good enough to stay in C grade last season as per the...

I think our 2's finishing 4th or 5th in D grade is still better than Plenty Valley finishing 10th in D grade and getting promoted at our expense. Not saying we are up to Barclay Res Standard, but still should be atleast in C grade.

Yes, A big thanks to Macleod for facilitating that. I think it worked out for all of us in the end. Tim chose Richard, we ended up with Tom, you guys play finals and despite some challenges of our own making and imposed by a DVCA exec that make decisions like relegating our 2's to D grade, thus...

Don't worry, we will worrying about winning. I'll tell you what crap is. An individual who hasn't been able to remove the chip off his shoulder over Tom leaving. Judging by your response, you will be putting Mernda to the sword then and enjoying a good win in lead up to finals. All the best and...

Word from a reliable source is that you won't be going all out to win and that some in the club think it's better to punish Tom than go into finals as winners. Let's see hey.
