Kram, on the money with both of your last 2 comments - Doherty is the Simon Davis of spin bowlers, short form of tyhe game only, number 3 does not have to be your best player although it is good if he is. Horses for courses, especially if you have an opener who is likely to get out early 6 out...

Wendouree made 111, our guys couldn't get out of second gear and hovered around the 4 runs per over mark throughout finishing at about 82 I believe, Lalor 39. Uniting should be very proud and they obviously gave a fine account of themselves.
Like it Nairbe, reality tells us Ponting goes as # 3 with Forrest as back up bat, Harris fighting for pace spot, Starc as back up bowler. Bye bye Brad.
You got me Clock although I did manage to pull that one out of the print version (I hope), 2 dayer to startat 1pm as normal I guess. More than most Clock you would know not to believe everything you read in the papers or hear on the radio.
Chooka, got that version from a pretty reliable source...
That is what I heard too Sugar, Uniting offered to replay or complete the game on the following Tuesday night but understandably Jacana could not be bothered coming back over to the South and opted for the coin toss, if that is correct and now they are sooking up, pretty ordinary darts I reckon...
To clarify start times for the game at "The G" where Bentleigh Uniting are taking on Wendouree, gates at the MCG open at 11.00am and the game starts at 12.00 noon. Entry to the ground is only via gate 2. No alcohol to be taken into the ground.
Did have to make a couple of late corrections to article this week Border and fixed newspaper version but forgot this version, definitely 2 dayers in Rd.11. Sugar correct also, perhaps was still in shock at their win!!
Unc, every year this one comes up, the Exec will be watching for anything dodgy and will stomp on it is all I was intimating, sorry, was obviously being a bit obtuse.
