On the ball mate. Even with my normal leggies.if the thumb is off the ball in the wrongun I feel the ball slips out loopy, is this what you have been doing?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I have a big turning wrong un (when I get it right) and a small turning, high bouncing wrongun when I get it wrong, and this is what I think is happening to you right now, because when I get it wrong like that it is loopy as anything like yours. However this is a decent change up that i...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

As I’m still in juniors (last season of it this year) and not in seniors yet, we start back at the end of school holidays, start of February

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah for sure. I find that sometimes it is a case of not concentrating hard enough, sometimes I find when I focus on keeping the front arm up for longer it helps me bowl full.

Yeah, it's definitely an issue with consistency. Whenever I bowl a dragdown I could tell it is a bad ball if I had my eyes closed, because something just feels wrong with the release. Apart from the drag downs and the occassional full toss, yeah I'm usually in and around the right area.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Thanks, really appreciate it. Yeah those short balls are the main problem, I'd much rather bowl full tosses. Yeah we had a fielder out in the deep on both sides, for the slog sweep and the cut shot, though I didn't really need the cut shot one as I never stray short and wide, it is always short...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

True, I think another thing that could be an issue is falling over in the action.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

My bowling starts 3:35:49, not the best camera angle but it'll do. I end up bowling 10 overs, 1/51, and a runout caused by a decent stop when the batsmen crunched it back to me. Figures kinda blew out in the last over unfortunately, where before after 9 overs I was 1/39. Regarding the skip, I...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Do you bowl with more sidespin or overspin? I find overspin gives more turn on turf.

Ahh ok, that makes sense. Cheers. Will get a cone or something and do some drills to try and rectify it.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I don’t quite get grasp how I am skipping? Like which part of it is the problem? The bound into the delivery stride?

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Yeah cheers, hoping the front foot is the cause of the problems.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Here’s Rashid.. front toe to fine leg, head slightly more upright? Maybe that’s what I can implement for improved accuracy and revs?
  19. Leggy88

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Should the head be upright at the release point? And should the front toe face fine leg, or is straight fine?
