Wow Craig, that was a very interesting clip.
I'm almost ashamed to say I knew little of the haunted York hospital given that from the late seventies to the eighties my folks had a holiday home in York, close to the town centre on the main road in.
I often worked on it with my Dad. My Mother...
Funny you should ask that Thomas as I've been like you recently with a tough project of my own. My shoulder is healing nicely and I was biting at the bit to get back into the fray of DIY projects.
I finally got around to reorganising my study decommissioning my old computer and all its...
Trump wants Austrailia and Japan to make a commitment "NOW" to help defend Taiwan if Chi-nah tries to invade that sovereign nation...
To paraphrase Aussie PM Albanese he said it was a hypothetical question and it would be up to the then Governme🥸nt to make that decision. Nice come back🤭.
Trump...
My bad Craig. I think my mate was staying there then with others when it was a hostel ?
I must ask him, it was about 50 years ago he saw the blood on the staircase.
Anyway, I did some digging about the Old Haunted York Hospital. It's in Western Australia, approximately 97 kilometers east of...
Myself, my ex wife and our two daughters had many pets like birds of all sort, chooks, rats, mice, hamsters, lizards, cats, dogs, ... and as time went by they passed away. We gave them all nice burials in our side and back flower beds.
So I guess that makes my home of 31 years a "Pet Cemetery"...
And there's more too. Lots of big things happening in most states.
South and Western Australia too. Mining, Steel works, new industries, Defence, ... IT like the Aussie "over the horizon radar" the Canadians bought off us, rare earth processing, ... it goes on like our medical science...
Crikey Jessica, I had a hot dog today! 🌭 🤮
Still, growing up in Ireland we ate all sorts of offal like:
kidneys, liver, ox tongue, tripe, jellied pigs trotters, sweet meats, hearts, bacon sausages, brains, .... I enjoyed them all except the liver and brains. I wasn't mad about the sliced tongue...
I think so Craig and since my child's scare I've become less prone to such phenomenon, but I do know some who have that insight. I respect that. My mum, my daughter named the same, friends, .. have it. I don't much.
I'm generally a bit sceptic about lots if things, especially the crap...
It's a good thread Craig and whilst I'm not too sensitive to such phenomenon myself I know and respect others that are, like my old Irish Mother born in 1915. Others too, like a mate and my youngest daughter, named after my Mum.
I think certain poignant dreams can tap into the ether and I've...
I watched a U Tube clip tonight showing blustering Trump with a quiet and demure Mark Carney, Canadian PM thanks to a reaction against Trump. 👏
As the yoyo threats and tariffs from Trump were blasted all over global media, Carney with superb economic credentials, Ex Governor of two Reserve...
Agreed Craig, "use it or lose it".
I try to keep slim and fit for my age. Good diet and exercise which the lack of recently caused me to put on 4 kilos.
My exercise is my bicycle, walking, gardening, cleaning and diy stuff. Most on hold for 2 months but slowly getting back into it.
Not really Craig.
Call me a bit of a sceptic but my old Irish mother reckons she saw a few ghosts in her life.
I admit I got scared witless at about age 5 walking down a dark corridor to the loo in the middle of the night. I saw a glowing white human like figure floating down the corridor...
Agreed many were shot humanly after bush fires and I looked for but failed to find the article on farmers culling Koalas. Maybe I was thinking of Wombats?
Without a Biblical reference I do believe we humans have ascended the evolution pyramid which surely must come with a mindset of...
Many Aussie farmers hate and shoot them for economic reasons.
That's sad.😢 their declining numbers are a precious concern.
They are not carnivores as joked calling them "Drop Bears". . .🦥 .🦦
An Aussie joke to scare tourists ! . . . 😆 ... ,
I recently heard my Aussie State of Western...
Take care and recover well Craig. Nothing broken at least. 🤕
A RN nurse friend gave me the bruise cream below for my shoulder.
It helped a bit in conjunction with anti-inflametories.
Heat or cold packs too.
Antiseptic and bandages on your wounds of course.
As an old chalkie I did several first...
Hi Jessica, great to see you back. ☺️ 👏
8 weeks after my injury I'm still slowly healing and no surgery thank goodness.
Great your fractured wrist and head wound are well on the mend too.
As an old fellow myself I know now it takes longer to heal as we get older...
My walking wounded...
Not much thunderstorms in our Summer months except when a cyclone comes from the north sliding down partially to Perth. Then the weather can be unbearable and my evaporative air conditioner just makes it worse.
Heat waves in Perth (>40C) typically have low humidity, about 10% to 30%. That hot dry heat is bearable but 70% to 80% is awful.
