A lot going on in subbies circles.
Johnstone gone from RPB, most likely to Werribee as CC, Brad Robertson to Werribee from Footscray, Harrison to Ormond. Surely something has to give at Werribee with those in's, Pilch? O'Brien?
Premier cricket will be way too large if that is the case.
Also hearing Matthew Harrison from Geelong has signed at Ormond, huge get for that club if true.
Like the idea, there are a lot of players across the 28 club's that always just miss out on the TOTY but who will be able to be recognised this time around in a good initiative by the Association.
Hoppers Crossing are not against a subbies move, just recently spoke with one of their officials and they said they had been in discussions with subbies throughout the year and now that they are no longer in the hunt for premier cricket they are strongly considering it.
Yep agreed. I think Altona would admit that their bowling line up isn't the most lethal in the comp, McCammond is a good bowler and Elmore and Grubb are very steady but to bowl a side out in 24 overs for 38 is deplorable. Altona could win outright well before tea.
Yes very interesting, we...
They determine the finals set up every year. You get them in a two day match after Xmas and you are in the hunt you are a huge chance of getting an outright.
Big weekend of cricket also about to arrive lads.
Melton v Plenty Valley and Werribee vs RPB the standouts in the North/West. Local rivalry for us against Yarraville who have had to wood over us of late but big loss for them with Finch headed home.
Have been eagerly awaiting a comment from you, also imagine that you would have very much of an inside word.
Are you confident that next season will be the last season of the VSDCA?
There is nothing stopping subbies from going alone and not taking part in the CV revised Metro Comp.
It's not like after the agreed term we are ever going to see another cent of the CV dividend.
Agree with premier cricket being cut back, it is way too big and especially in the lower 11's where those kids are just fill ins and most who go to play premier cricket end up not playing in the next few years because of how much they hate it.
We have had 4 or 5 over the last three years go to...
Thought it was a sign of a fair bit of depth seeing as though they chased down 270 and their best 3 bats got 35 between them. Only reason they were chasing that many is because of Murphy who is a very, very good player.
Am I missing something here? Oakleigh are on top and undefeated, having beaten Caulfield last round.
As far as N/W goes, in my opinion its pretty open. Melton, Plenty Valley, Werribee and RPB all very capable on there day. Having said that Yarraville have recently smased RPB and are looking...
Thanks for that, we can all read a scorecard. Not sure the relevance on this thread or without a back up story. The feed will get pretty congested if we state everyone that performed well over the weekend from all XI's.
We actually have the exact same number of 15 across the two top XI's with 8 in the 1st's. Brighton are extremely strong, we play them in a practice match each year and this year is their best team in those years in my opinion and will back them to go all the way.
Just back to the Hatch Competition quickly, I agree with a few of the blokes on here that mentioned it is still relevant. Hatch is a huge things for clubs and for players. It gives kids who might play park cricket at best to play on the best decks and grounds outside of premier cricket. To watch...
