Club Championship pretty good indication of who the strongest club's are, I would've thought.
Hewet is back at Yarraville also after things didn't work out at Geelong.
Inness' will never get back to what he was before his peck operation on his left side but is still a very, very good bowler at this level and fingers crossed he stays fit for the rest of the season and if so he will be a handful for any line up.
The import for Yarraville, Finch is an England U/19 player from what I am hearing. Heard he is more of a bowler too and has only just started bowling so could be huge after Christmas with two tons already.
With us another lucky win, our batting is not firing at all but somehow we find...
Going to be very interested in who prevails out of Werribee and Melton. Can see Melton getting a big total unless Pilch pulls something special out against his old side. Wasn't as suprised with the RPB victory over Plenty, especially considering it was a one dayer. RPB's attack is as good as...
Has anyone heard whether or not play is going ahead this weekend?
Tragic event and shocking set of circumstances but I believe a good time for us all to come together, don the black arm bands and share a minute's silence and play the sport that we all love, that what he would've wanted I'm...
In my region I know both Hoppers and Yarraville Club are very strong. Hoppers are a huge club and probably have a fair bit more depth through juniors and lower XI's than Yarraville Club.
A curve ball for you all, Plenty Valley go up to Premier, Hoppers come in to the West Group and RPB go to...
Agree with most however think Balwyn will get over Yarra. Saw Murphy first hand and he is a gun! I reckon after two starts he'll be ready for a big score and Hailey has had two failures and will bounce back.
If this isn't you Dogga I'll sit on a landmine.
Pretty ordinary result for the whole competition, interesting to see though that Sunshine's 3rds beat Kew outright so not sure what's going on there.
Both nominated. I'm sure their are other clubs with some players who were stiff also. Just would like to know the selection process for this because the West Group in particular was not picked well at all.
Anyone have any idea what the selection process and who the selectors were for the U/19 Subbies rep game?
Matt Dervan from Williamstown has a 1st XI average of 50+ as well as a ton to his name and Luke Rainone has a hundred, a 50 and over 10 games to his name from our Club and blokes from other...
I played out there last year after xmas in a 1 dayer in the 2's and it seemed fine and both sides scored over 200. Might have come good by that stage of the season though. The results can't lie.
Yeah unfortunately the wicket had been vandalised the week before. Was disappointing not to play especially considering the wicket out there which was one of the better ones I've seen in the subbies. Was a hole dug on the pitch on a fullish length which was the reason it was called off. 1 dayer...
Was a big first round. Interesting to see how well Endeavour went in their chase against Caulfield. Also noticed that Kew pushed Werribee, going to be Werribee's weakness again the bowling, a lot rests on Pilch's shoulders. Interesting to see that James Freeman and Burton both played 2's...
Great to see so many games underway.
No surprises with runs from some really consistent performers like Ingram, Damiano and Dean.
Less than glamourous start for Gilmour from Kew but I'm sure he will be a really good player for them this season with both bat and ball.
I think they may be behind Plenty Valley and Melton this season. They have lost Thompson and to my knowledge they haven't picked up anyone. The batting stocks will still be extremely strong but their bowling depth will be limited and they will rely heavily on Pilch.
