There are many things in that competition that are ridiculous. The two separate final series is one of my favourites, but I'm struggling to figure out how when we have a choice of 17 other clubs to squeeze into our 11 games - we manage to get drawn to play the same team twice.

They've got 8 sides. The VTCA has essentially 5 Saturday (the one dayers are split into two) and 1 Sunday side. And as I said, they obviously feel the MCA is a better option. Like a heap of clubs, they choose not to put any/all of their teams in the VTCA - it isn't compulsory

Pretty sure this wasn't the idea when a final 8 was mentioned at the AGM. See also proposed changes to the relegation rules. One team from each division will be relegated from senior division regardless of where they finish. So effectively 6th can be relegated while 11th stays up.

I don’t want to be negative, so I'll just say that whatever decision is made will be the best one, and however or whenever it is communicated to everybody will be the right time and method ;):D

Might I suggest that you steer clear of the VTCA model!! The primary focus of a points system should be to allow clubs to pay whatever they want, provided they invest in developing their own players at the same time. Therefore home grown players should be the base points – whatever that is...
