Re: Bowling with a wheighted ball For a spinner I think it could be helpful in terms of helping wrist/finger strength. I advise moderation and supervision as well as warming up and down. I used it when i was leggie and practised spinning it into a highjump mat/mattress. Just a thought.

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association I believe they have decided to not put a turf team in. Lack of ground was an issue last season. they do have a matts ground, 2, possibly 3 actually. so that is where they are focussing their seniors.

Re: Drop Johnson/Bowling coach/Pace bowlers India and Pakistan would have to be harder, perhaps not for batsmen. but batsmen don't win you test matches. its your ability to take 20 wickets that does.

Re: Your Up & Comers Ive got a couple of names. Clint Mckay is certainly an up and comer. look out for his brother in say a decade too. NSW are starting to play some kids too.. Hazelwood looks good, as does Steve Smith, the leggie. George Bailey? getting on a bit, but may come good...
