Re: Could a Woman play elite men's cricket?
Well said. I couldn't agree with you more. some of the best cricketers have been slim, think Dilshan from Sri Lanka, or Shiv Chanderpaul from WI. not the biggest blokes but are still pulling in a truckload of runs at the moment.
Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association
Rate myself, atm, im a 6. but that depends on what scale. batting could do with some improving, more mental than technique and my keeping, well that will come along with time. only taken that up full time last season. Just some miles in the...

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association
Sounding cynical now BC. I'm not involved in the admin side of the club, so wouldn't know of the grounds situation. I know my 'mob' is looking at some grounds, the details of this I am not privvy too. Could we talk some cricket, perhaps get...

Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association
Seems a logical thought. Similar set up in the VTCA, with Nth D1 and Sth D1 being a one day comp on Sundays.
BC, did you land your keeper mate? any news on the grounds yet?

Re: Could a Woman play elite men's cricket?
Has anyone factored in that women, although 'limited' in their phyiscal capacity, more than make it up for emotional and mental capacity? I think as spinners and middle order bats could be idea. Women, once finely tuned to the game, would as good as...
Re: New WK Gloves
I'm looking at buying new gloves. Been looking at some places in the UK (although I live in Melb, Aus) and getting some UK as I have found the Aus gloves (kooka's and puma's) haven't really been what I wanted. Any thoughts? I've looked at the new Slazenger Elite Pro. I think...
Re: Western Suburbs Churches Cricket Association
How about we get off subbies and the willy comp and back onto to the churches. Any news on the makeup of the comp this year? any more player movements?

Re: Twenty20 World Cup Discussion/Match talk thread
Umur Gul reversing the ball after 12 overs. could be the difference in some games. Have they learnt from the poms and taken the cough lollies out with them too? SA are proving to powerful, however their lower order is lacking some game time...
Re: McGain is hopeless?
The thing is with him, is that he has sat behind a desk at ANZ i think until he was 30 and only played cricket on the weekends. eg districts. So even though he is nearer to 40, his body probably doesnt feel like a 40 year old cricketer. not saying he's in a 20 year old's...
Re: McGain is hopeless?
well said boris. no harm in giving him a run in the tour games. maybe he should've looked at a county stint, that would've helped his selection no end.
Re: Mass exodus from Indian Cricket League
NZ are the big winners, as are Pakistan. A hollow victory for the BCCI, really. No doubt this will further isolate the BCCI and their bullying tactics.
