re: South Division 10/11
So what's the wash up after Round 5.
Chelsea would be disappointed with losing to Murrumbeena. Great effort form the Beenas to bounce back from an outright defeat to notch a win.
As I sort of suspected, MHSOB weren't without a chance of chasing down Cheltenhams...
re: Senior Division 10/11
There are plenty of South clubs within the City of Glen Eira that aren't too pleased with the events of last weekend.
Apparently the councils decision to not allow play only extended to VTCA games, with sub district clubs within Glen Eira being able to use their...
re: South Division 10/11
I'm cheating a bit, but I'll put my tips in now, after week one.
[Forgot on Friday]
Maccabi Ajax vs Brighton Dist 9-196 [cc]
Ajax - they'll will be disappointed if they don't chase down 200.
Lasky's innings must have been something special.
MHSOB 0-5 vs...
Re: VTCA Twenty20 Trophy
Yeah, I got some bad info. Old Ment lost 8 wickets in posting 106, it was Bentleigh who only lost 2 wickets.
Good to see SCCC win, sets up a great match against Bentleigh.
Re: VTCA Twenty20 Trophy
Smart operator as skipper Peter Roach.
Assuming South Caulfield get the job done against Carnegie, Bentleigh vs South Caulfield should be a cracker.
re: South Division 10/11
How big this week - Bentleigh vs Beaumaris. 1st vs 2nd.
Early tip from me, Beauy just. Hewitt is in white hot form and will be hard to stop.
re: South Division 10/11
I'm happy I'm on Bentleigh and Beaumaris for this round.
Chelsea looks ok.
But I think both Brighton and Hampton are up against it.
Although weather conditions for the rest of the week should produce good decks for Saturday. MHSOB's bowling isn't exceptionally...
re: South Division 10/11
Tips for Round 4.
Bentleigh to defeat Murrumbeena.
Hampton too good for MHSOB.
Chelsea over Ajax.
Brighton to beat Port in the match of the round.
Beaumaris to get over the top of Cheltenham in a close one.
re: South Division 10/11
True, Khawaja can bat. A very dangerous player at the top of the order.
I don't play much these days, but I have faced Josh Boyle a few years ago when he was at Keilor. Was bowling with the wind behind him and was pretty quick and a real handful being a lefty. How...
re: South Division 10/11
"streets ahead"........very clever.
Chris Street has performed really well so far. And along with Peter Roach, Bentleigh have a couple of match winners that they needed.
They copped Port in a one dayer when Daykin was on fire [96 & 4 for].
I think you are right...
re: South Division 10/11
No, I think the covers were left on too long.
They need to come off at 8.00am Saturday morning if there is no chance of rain.
Anyway, did Saturdays results change anything.
Was Port's loss to Ajax nothing to worry about, or are they too reliant on Daykin...
re: South Division 10/11
Port easily.
Hampton in a close one.
Bentleigh at home, with Riach back in the Demons line up to help.
Brighton too good for Murrumbeena.
Beaumaris comfortably against Cheltenham.
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
Pure BS hey?
I "heard" it from my clubs rep that was at last nights VTCA meeting and the President said it. He said clubs would be striped of points today as they have had long enough to adjust to the new format but had still not fully complied.
I was...
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
Don't know which clubs specifically. Possibly a couple of the Northern clubs.
That's all I have heard, just wondering if anyone else had heard this?
Re: VTCA Cricket - General Chat
Has anyone else heard the rumour that some clubs (in Senior Division and possibly lower divisions) 1st XIs are likely to lose match points because they have not complied with the new points system (ie: they have failed to register players and have gone over the...
re: South Division 10/11
He has been Bentleighs best player for years, and apparently made their Team of the Century. Obviously hasn't played state cricket like the others, but he is still entertaining to watch.
