    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Probably can get 6 to drift. Can’t tell you why, I rip the ball and it drifts. I’ve seen the discussions on here about it and I don’t really have anything to add to it. I do get the seam basically perfect on my leg break which likely helps. Just have to spin it hard I guess.

Yeah Kingy is an amazing bowler, gets great revs on the ball and bowls some absolute seeds from time to time.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Managed to get dropped down a grade because I’ve been batting 9, bowling pace but struggling with it a bit (weirdly have bowled well on turf in my Sunday Colts matches). Will be opening the batting and likely bowling a few overs of leg spin instead of pace because my right knee is at the...

It was a chanceless innings too no? I don’t include the overturned lbw as a chance because it wasn’t out.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

By far the biggest reason for me practicing fielding is because I don’t want to be “that guy” that drops catches. I hate it off my own bowling, I don’t want to do it off someone else’s. Also having stickybeaked enough selection meetings, fielding and fitness absolutely comes into play. My club...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I also like using my crease and bowling the odd ball a bit wider. I reckon in a 2 day match or even a slow paced one dayer I could chuck someone under the lid and get some catches off my top spinner.

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

I recently slightly injured a ligament in the back of my knee. It’s not serious and it’s already 90% healed. But I haven’t been bowling pace because it’s my back leg and I still have some weakness. I’ve been bowling leg spin and getting plenty of turn and bounce on our club nets that...

Arguably match winning. Or at least match sealing.

100 for Ward He’s in the Aus A squad too so hopefully he does well there as well.

Fair enough He has just slogged Bashir in the 90s though haha.

Also noticing from this CA XI match he seems to be really good at rotating strike, he’s going at a SR of 47 but the only boundary he’s hit for 27 overs was a single outside edge.

I’m not fond of someone that struggles to convert to 100s at 3/4. Also we have Marnus/McSweeney and Green there who are generally just better.

Infamously poor at converting 50s into 100s. But honestly if our opener can make a 90 every game that’s perfectly fine by me [emoji23]. Seems to hopefully have broken through with his 142.

I do really rate Tim Ward, he’s also our youngest and arguably best left hand opening option right now.

In my opinion a good spin bowling allrounder would be more useful to us than a fast bowling allrounder. Would allow us to play 4 specialist seamers on our home tracks.

It’s just that Connolly bowls left arm. Travis is great but given it’s looking like Murphy is taking over from Lyon, it would be GREAT if we had a part time or even allrounder orthodox bowler.
