Re: Spikes! I bowl in full spikes and bat in rubbers (trainers) because I find that batting in spikes means I plant my foot and can't move it again!!

Re: bowling machines We have a BOLA machine at my club and if there's a random setting we haven't found it yet!! They're pretty good for practising a specific shot but as MV said, knowing where it's going to go can reduce it's effectiveness.

Re: Asia Cup 2008 Stunning bowling by Mendis, he's a great find this year for Sri Lanka. unc cricket, I think he bowls it using his first, middle and ring fingers to flick the ball different ways while having his wrist in different positions. It would be very hard to do consistently, I think.
