Re: The Wolfman's Cricket Blog
Is your team the first XI for your club??
We had something similar a couple of years ago when I was just starting to play saturday cricket in that we went undefeated one year but the next year half the team got promoted to the 1st XI and we really struggled to...
Re: Artificial Wickets
The articficial at my club is fairly old and bounces really really low all the time. It can be pretty dodgey to field on if you're wearing spikes for a game played on one of the turf wickets but, for example last night when it rained the whole time, it can allow games to...
Re: Denied our Title Defense!
Stumped's situation is unfair and seems a really convoluted way to sort out a league but wolf's, imo, is even worse. They should have used run rate or runs divided by wickets, not runs scored!!

Re: County Championship Chat
Is the 100th hundred thing a sign that Ramps cracks under the pressure and so shouldn't have been considered for England last year or is it just a slump that came at an unfortunate time?? Either way I think Surrey rely on him way too much.
Re: South Africa tour England
The BBC is what I use at school, but not with the sound just the ball by ball stuff.
England had a great first day and the fact we didn't lose any wickets in the last session puts us in a good position for tomorrow. I suppose we can't really judge it until we...
Re: Glasses while batting
Off topic again, does anyone know why Sehwag wears a bandana, is it because he's bald??
I didn't realise glasses were built to be that strong!!
Re: bowling machines
We have a BOLA machine at my club and if there's a random setting we haven't found it yet!! They're pretty good for practising a specific shot but as MV said, knowing where it's going to go can reduce it's effectiveness.
Re: Stick Cricket league: League 2 started!!
Mine still won't accept scores, and I have to say I forgot about one of the rounds as I've been pretty busy for the last while so sorry guys.

Re: Asia Cup 2008
Stunning bowling by Mendis, he's a great find this year for Sri Lanka.
unc cricket, I think he bowls it using his first, middle and ring fingers to flick the ball different ways while having his wrist in different positions. It would be very hard to do consistently, I think.
Re: Harder to bowl left handed then right ??
I don't think it's inherently harder to be a left handed bowler than to be a right handed one tbh, it's just different circumstances. In fact, it's something of an advantage in my view because batsman are usually unused to facing left arm bowlers...
