Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) The City line up being strengthened by Linsday and Pitts returning, as well as Jarvis and Down to build on solid seasons last year. Marsland spearheading this attack, City could be there abouts next year!!! Need to drop kent Agg down the order and let him...

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) I 100%!! He still doesn't mind himself once he is off the ground. But the man can bat.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) That is a shame!! The GCA would have been a much better comp without those two guys playing in it! They will be a good side again this year!

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Hassett doesnt keep anymore. Him and Sutho from Highton were the best I have seen in recent years.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Danny would be sadly missed from the GCA!!!! NOT!!!! Hasn't he got a 3 or 4 game suspension to deal with before he starts in 08/09? If Danny only plays a few games and Bambury heads back to the bush, say "Goodbye" Lara! I think Hughes got a job as cop...

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) I am not sure if Bambury has much respect from anyone in the comp! But himself!!! Word is he might be heading back to Ballarat. Brad would be certainly the most consistant bowler.A s for cleaning up teams, your probably right. But, God knows how...

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Talla from West is also great to watch bat! Trav Agg was the best bowler (smartest at least), but he is no longer playing for City.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Yes, good call on each. As much as I hate to say it, Bambury would be very close to best batsman. Not a hell of alot of keepers going around though. For experience you would look at Breuer from Sth Barwon.

Re: Ballarat Cricket Association So, what is the go with Bambury? Is he leaving the GCA to come back to the comp? As far as I know the guys in the GCA would be happy to see the back of him. Not liked by most but that is no surprise. Mind you he did settle in well at Lara as they have a couple...

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Why the hell would you put Blair Allen in the Geelong Country Week team? Fergie can't play as he doesn't play GCA. They wont allow him. Went through that last season. Danny Hughes, although he is a weed, he should be in the best team in the comp.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Didn't have a visa!!!! I didn't know that. That's a pisser!!! But that's Smelly all over!!!! But I agree, he wouldn't have gone to Thommy for a cricket bat and spikes!!

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) As for the quickest bowlers in the comp, I would think Marsland and Murray would be the winners after the 2007/08 season. Harps has lost his kick through, but still has a super line. Ando has up and down days, but when on is the quickest and hardest to face.

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca) Thommy has sent Smelly overseas as a part of the deal. Very risking considering he never hangs around at a club after Christmas!
