Ryobi Cup Slashed To Six Games/one Month Tournament

It will probably be reduced to 5 games next season.

    David Warner

Watson, Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, KP are just four off the top of my head.

    David Warner

There are loads of long and clean hitters in the World game, it's hardly a massive plus these days. I'm glad he's not in the ODI team, I hope they give someone else equal opportunity. He needs to hone his test game and constantly switching between three formats is not going to help him do that.

Graeme Hick - Cricket Australia Coach

He does know how to occupy the crease so hopefully he can teach some patience.

    David Warner

ODIs are not his forte. Where does this idea come from?

Great ton from Watson. Better late than never, I guess.

I hope it's one more match for Ussie, he is doing himself no favours, but they need to stop shoving the young players in and out of, and up and down, the line-up. They were stupid enough to drop Hughes after Lord's, but they need to give Khawaja a proper run now that they have. There is no...

Ryobi Cup Slashed To Six Games/one Month Tournament

What audience? No-one goes to Shield matches and not many more go to Ryobi.

He got a 50 last match. That's all he needs these days. A 50 every 5 matches or so and the hype machine kickstarts itself again. I'm hoping he's too injured to bowl AND bat so they can give Faulkner a go. They lose with Watson, they can lose without him.

Australia In England, The Ashes 2013

The batsmen have no confidence in their ability to chase and there is really no reason why they would have.

The only change I would like to see for Durham, especially after his pointless codpiece of a shot down third man's throat yesterday, is Watson swapped for Faulkner. They will lose nothing and may gain some useful information about a new player. I can't think of anyone who wants to watch any...

Australia In England, The Ashes 2013

Well, a disappointing way to end this match but our batting got us into the must win situation in this test and the weather came to the party for England. I feel for Clarke. He's stuck in the position of having it all on his shoulders. The opposition know it, he is the only one they are scared...

Australia In England, The Ashes 2013

God, Warner is dumb. I love that he reviewed that despite his skipper thinking he'd hit it. Clarke compounded it by saying that he backed 'Davey' 100 percent. Aus reviews aren't getting any less amusing. Fantastic innings by Clarke. Might end up with Eng retaining the Ashes this test but at...

Nor me. I'm just hoping for a rain-affected draw along the way as if they get beaten in every match, by the end of the 10 matches some of our batsmen may need to be locked up by the chaps in the white coats.

Australia In England, The Ashes 2013

Played a couple of Ryobis from what I remember. Another finger spinning all rounder. He's over there on one of those Academy club cricket things same as Agar was. I find it insane that they are playing people who aren't in the squad instead of squad players. WTF is going on with this team...

He's still the same inconsistent Marcus North, got dropped at one point from the Shield team last season he was performing so badly. BUT at least, he can score tons. Nothing for 3/4 innings then a ton is better than nothing for 3/4 innings, then a 50 which is what we get now.

He can't do any worse than the batsmen.

Old Trafford is a turning pitch. Monty Panesar has a stonking record there so they will probably play 2 spin bowlers. Given that, they need to make a hierarchy of who they believe can play spin the best - this really is shuffling the deck chairs I know - and pick that batting line-up. For mine...
