After all the squealing over David Hussey being left out, he played what was possibly the worst shot by an Aussie in the entire tournament. I'm not even sure it was a shot, I really couldn't tell what he was trying to do it was that awful. Damn funny to watch though.
Hopefully, that will be it...
Bores me rigid watching him bat and it's not down to how slowly he bats as I can watch really fine batsman like Dravid or Kallis crawl along without it worrying me at all.
If he does manages a ton, I'll probably miss his big moment as I would have passed out through the sheer tedium of it.
I hope that the Aussies are gaining some knowledge and experience out of this.
I had no idea that Bret Lee's record in the past 2 years in ODIs had been so ordinary. It will be a proper golden handshake if he gets an Aussie upgrade contract.
It will be an interesting series on some levels in England. I'd prefer the English team to play another test against SA but that ain't the modern way.
Can't work out if I am pleased about Johnson coming back to the ODI team. Our bowling has hardly been outstanding in his absence and he has a...
If Huss enters that 'where the **** is my off-stump' zone again, I want him out of there straight away. It was far, far too painful to observe last time.
I agree. I don't think he's got enough shots to play ODIs for Aus and his single-taking ability appears to be completely absent. He must be pretty frustrating to bat with.
Pretty lacklustre effort by the Aussies. It is a very inexperienced team who are not gelling that well yet. Considering that these two teams made it to the World Cup final, it's bound to be a really competitive series.
I wouldn't say that we have outstanding talent at present in batting terms...
I kind of agree with this. I don't think T20 is crap, I enjoy it but I don't much care what daft things are done in the matches. In fact, the more daft the better.
Well, they were happy enough to say Smith and Marsh need to go back to Shield and do better so - and considering how conservative they are with the senior players - I think he probably and unfortunately is being rested.
Yes, the George Bailey thing is very odd, but the rest of the team I'm pretty easy about. Glad to see Faulkner in there, it will be good to see how he goes at the top level.
And I'm glad they've stuck with Mitch Marsh, he's got form behind him now. Faulkner, him and Christian will be fighting...
Our batting is a joke.
Punter is getting away with murder. He really is. Clarke not far behind though at least he has started scoring tons again.
Haddin, bahahahahaha.
Haddin's pretty safe I think, when he got made v/c as a reward for a series of really poor batting displays, I realised that he is in no danger regardless of what he does. He's like Punter, untouchable. And Clarke is skipper so he's safe. And they won't get rid of Hussey yet either.
Shaun...
Knew I should have stayed up. Curses. Great win for the team.
nairbe, I think Cummins is pretty badly injured, you might not be looking for him to play again till mid 2012.
