    Hilditch And Chappell Sacked

Hooker Hildy is still fronting the press banging on about how much he loves selecting. And he's still selecting. When will he go?

One stupid run-out (I blame Watson as he's generally a poor judge of a single) and one bloody awful swipe later... Interesting couple of matches though in terms of our future. Cummins and Pattinson did pretty well for young 'uns, I thought they both look temperamentally pretty good. Mitch...

Yes, it's all a bit bonkers. Hilditch is desperate to make one of his 'rabbits out of the hat' come good - it's all part of his legacy, I assume. Hughes hasn't really come up to the mark, lord knows, Smith hasn't so now it's Cummins turn to assume the mantle. Imagine if BAD Mitch turns up while...

Brett Lee is out injured and (with any luck) Johnson might be out of the series injured as well. However, he's a man of steel as far as injuries go so I'm sure this turned ankle will prove a quick recoverable thing.

I'm alright with this latest T20 squad. Glad they have brought in some youngsters even if they don't play them in Mitch Marsh and Patrick Cummins. Good to drop Mitchell Johnson, they need to move on from him in this format.

It was an interesting tour. The next one will be even more so. I'm very curous to see how this batting line-up goes against a good attack.

I think Rixon is tough enough for it. It will be interesting to see if he is appointed interim coach on such a tough series as the SA tour.

That's Hughes set fair for the summer then. We and he needed him to make that score. Isn't the SSC a bloody flat pitch though? Mahela has a phenomenal record there, which has somewhat lessened my opinion of him. It's like someone who has scored a third of his tons at Adelaide. It's hardly that...

You can't blame the bowlers too much. The experienced batsmen really let us down in the first innings and SSC is renowned for the Lankies wrack up runs. They haven't really got away in terms of rr and it is a horribly flat pitch. Of course with pressure of trying to save a game and some...

Gah, what was that Punter? They'd been pootling along so nicely.

Nope, just leave Marsh at 3 for now. I think Khawaja could have a shot at opening.

I hope Punter has got a shock over someone doing so well at 3. He might take more care with his wicket now. Next match will throw up some interesting things. SSC should be another flat deck so Ussie and Hughes have to score.

It will be good practise for the next match. SSC is a really flat track. I suspect some of our out of form players should magically find form there against this fairly average attack. Edit: Now that Shaun Marsh has shown them that patience pays off.

Except that he won't ever be so there's no point in saying that. This is Johnson we are talking about - he's played 45 tests and still no-one knows what he will do at any given moment. Anyway that was a bloody hilarious dismissal. What a klutz. Lovely test match play there by Marsh and Hussey...

Same here, vast amusement value. That was hardly a Copeland style ball that nipped a mile in though. Just a really dumbass leave.

Very nice work from Harris and Watson just as good as the first innings. Great work from them and even Johnson got a wicket this morning with the first decent ball he bowled in his spell.

Apart from the utter ridiculousness of doing this with spin bowlers, I'm not sure that it makes a great deal of difference to the team who they play. Lyon is very young and monumentally inexperienced in all formats but then we don't have decent slow bowlers so it's not like he's keeping a huge...
