    Vtca Season 2017/18 & 2018/19

Not trying to nit pick but the main question Westy asked remains unanswered, why hasn't someone from one of these many disaffected clubs, South, North or West, provided an alternative at an AGM? To casual observers, it is mystifying.

Seems the game was called off due to Ormond's scorer having a significant health issue during the week. Guessing that means a draw. On a brighter note, Damiano, wow

But Westy, in the case of Endeavour, and there would be others, regionalisation is a terrible outcome. I think the creation of an upper echelon "Super League" (think VTCA Senior but across all of Melbourne) which provides the vehicle for the cashed up clubs to operate on an unrestricted basis in...

Main point was regarding Endeavour, one years wages for either Berwick or Springvale South would run Endeavour for 10 years, they simply could't compete in that comp. Of Caulfied/Brunswick/PV, only Rummans has a CV that would demand a spot in either of those two sides. Even someone like Thorne...

Anyone unsure as to why Endeavour want to stay in Subbies, have a look at the line ups for Springvale South vs Berwick this weekend. The DDCA is a nightmare for those at CV trying to push for the regional program, imagine trying to sell points cap to these clubs! Selected Team S Spoljaric MG...

Some fair outs for the teams that have been loaded, Sam Jones (Fitzroy-Doncaster) is a big out for Oakleigh. Warren, Denny, and King not named for Caulfield. Anyone got any mail on those guys?

Can confirm ECA have floated this to clubs in the synthetic section and will happen if enough interest from clubs. Will be confined to lower grades, Shield grades as per normal.

Agree with Cucumber, see below from the Handbook "*points to reduce by one for each consecutive season played after the player has played two seasons at the club"

Agree, 99% of comments are here about what players are on is straight up guesswork. Just because a CC of a club is on good $$$, it doesn't follow that every other player in the comp who is as good or better than him is on the same or more. My take on it is that every CC except at Endeavour is on...

In the longest announcement since Oakshott and Windsor, Justin Graham has quit Kew to take up an Asst role at Prahran. Tough time of the year to be looking for a new coach.

20 points cap in 18/19 down from 22 last season. The VSDCA site has the list of what points a player is worth.

    Vic Premier 15/16

Not sure anyone on Bigcricket gives a stuff about Premier but what a mess CV are planning to make of 3's and 4's. Not good for player development. Not good for 3's players moving up. Not good for 2's players coming down. Seems a token exercise to me, to be seen to be doing something. As for the...

Again Dales, you seem to have misunderstood me. When I was referring to roaming VTCA South/DDCA clubs, I wasn't referring to Buckley Ridges etc, I was referring to this (not my list, extracted from another post on the VTCA forum):- 1.South Yarra 2.Maccabi Ajax 3.St.Bedes/St.Johns 4.North...

Seca - Sth East Ca 17/18

Dales you have misunderstood me on a couple of points... I don't think CV are necessarily trying to convince clubs to move to turf, it's the clubs themselves that will be considering this. It did happen in the ECA, and no, I don't have a problem with it if that is how a club chooses to go. If...

Seca - Sth East Ca 17/18

Sadly I pretty much agree with you. This is what happens when a comp loses it's identity. I think the CMCA missed a trick a few years back when the VTCA South clubs were about to split. CMCA should have copied the ECA model and united the comps under the one historically significant banner...
