Just on the figures argument the closer DVCA figures would be 2009-2010 (U16,U14,U12, Dev and Joeys) = 133 teams at seasons end.
2014-15 = 132 teams. That is also with new clubs Heidelberg, Banyule and Rosanna as well as PlentyValley Lauriston(new estate)...
Plenty Valleys Lorenzo Ingram signed with Doutta Stars. The exodus of players from the clubs wanting to play Premier will only grow. If you look at PVCC who have been a success in subbies over a period there arent many of their 1st eleven that would go back to Premier. They would have to start...
His dad and little brother are at Lower plenty so if family ties have anything to do with it I'd say James would go there. He had a shoulder op from a footy injury and this has restricted his pace but wish him luck and hope he can gain full use again.
These 2 bowlers are premium quality and are dangerous at Premier level so look out batsmen. They bowl very well in partnership with each other so the pressure is mental and physical. The only disadvantage for them will be the crap bouncy synthetic which could stop them hitting the stumps as...
If thats what happens on synthetic pitches imagine what turf is going to do to them. Unfortunately their reputation from last year in the DVCA precedes them. I wonder what consultation was made before the change from Kookaburra.
So it wouldn't be a pointless excercise in fineing and dropping a club down a division and then clearing its players with issues to head back into the top comp again the next season. Defeats the whole purpose and just plain dumb.
I don't like it how a club gets dropped to a lower division for discipline reasons and people from that club leave it and get to play a higher standard leaving the fairdinkum guys at that club to battle their way back. The culprits if they want to leave should only be cleared to another club in...
Rumor I heard was CV wants them to amalgamate with Plenty Valley, Melton, or Werribee as Monash Uni Griffins CC takes over their ground. Interesting re the Noble Park offer. On a different note how does everyone think the loss of the CV dividend will affect Subbies clubs. My guess is that some...
Lloyd Mash retired as player coach at FDCC but will still coach at Renegades. Have a feeling he'll have a year off to rest and recover from injury then get back into it again. Still regarded as an elite premier batsman.
I think Mash will have a year off and get back into Premier and maybe Motschall to Captain FDCC 3rds. Waterman didn't play anywhere last year so not sure about him. Maybe Panton Hill could entice young Josh Barton to return from Plenty Valley 3rds.
