If scoring 82 and taking 1/14 off of 8 overs in a one day game is underperforming then the whole competition will need to watch out when he pulls his finger out of his arse.
Burwood for T20 champions.
Baseball is the only one. If you haven't read Moneyball.....please do.
I believe the Cricket average system is flawed. How can 30*, 30*, 60 be rated higher than someone who scored 100, 100, 100?
I feel it's so important to know other things like balls faced and fours and sixes to get a more...
Most of my best innings have been made with my team in trouble, but quite how 46 out of 176, can be considered the same as 127* out of 289?
If anything old Slackbladder has given it away getting 46 and getting out at 4/120.
I decided after this weekend that I dislike Sat/Sat Cricket. Enjoy two day Cricket, but something just annoys me about waiting a week to complete a game.
Pretty much my thoughts exactly.
Great chance for teams to play some aggressive Cricket. I can remember 5/6 years ago playing for a rather average side my team tried to bat out the 2nd day against a good side. We set them 160 off 25 overs and they got it. Justice probably done in that case!
With the rain on Saturday, a lot of games will be played under "Ordinary Conditions". Do you feel the side batting 1st should be allowed to bat as long as they want? Or should they have to stop at 80 overs?
Alagaratnam scored 270 runs @ 38 in 2nd Xl Cricket in 09/10. So pretty good, but Dunstan should be a big step up and I like to see big numbers to prove the talent!
