I've spoken to several Donvale people, from what they tell me the wicket keeper was standing between and square leg and the stumps so he had no way to see when the bails got taken off. Further to that, they all say the bloke at square leg is one of the most honest going round. Just what I've...
Can anyone from Burwood shed any light on, shall I call it a rumour at this stage, but a certain new recruit being up on 3 charges at the tribunal tonight?
I'd back Boronia in regardless of the odds. For sure Skevs are in front, but whenever Boronia seem to get a sniff they turn into the noisiest, fiercest, most determined side I've seen in recent years, and whenever they get that about them they seem to get a win. From all reports it's how they...
Your absolutely correct, Dustan is a stronger grade for sure, never disputed that. But perhaps you can explain how two of your "superior" Dunstan teams got knocked over by "inferior" A Turf teams on Tuesday night, and how an "inferior" a turf team came up to Dunstan and made the semi final last...
Can't say I agree at all. A team might have to be strong to get to Dunstan, but once your up you only need to finish 3rd last or above to stay up, but to get up to Dunstan you need to make a GF. From what I have seen there isn't much difference between the top 4 teams of A and the bottom 6 teams...
I would have thought with GI's batting they would be a chance, they can post a big score quickly, how far did they make it last year? Quarters perhaps?
I think your missing the positives of playing in the outer east - It's normally a two or three beer ride home! But really, that's more of an issue for the Heathmont/Boronia players, if they are happy to travel for their away games then there should be no issue, on average every other team should...
Perhaps The Kop can talk me through the playing shirts I saw the Boronia boys getting around in last weekend? The Bonnie Doon under 14's called, they want them back............
Can anyone from Richmond officially confirm or deny this? Nothing on the website of fb page, would be very surprised if this happened the week before round 1, last time i played out there they were travelling really well, seemed like a good bunch of guys too.
Not much
Not much love for poor Grubich on here is there? Personally I've never had a problem with him, plays hard on the field which is fine, shakes hands after the game and is fine for a chat, the bloke can bat too.
Richmond Union actually had a few really good kids, pity the captain was an absolute moron and spent more time yelling at the kids for losing concentration than he did trying to improve them and pump them up. If they are serious they need to get rid of the captain and his brother despite them...
Yeah true, and GI's have a good keeper who can keep up, but still, on a flat track medium pace bowlers can really get ripped apart, and while there is no express bowlers of note there is a difference between most other clubs bowling attacks and what GI have, most have at least two or three who...
Interesting to see in the gradings that GI's are running teams in Dunstan and A, I know they have some gun bats but do they have the bowling depth for both grades? If we get a decent summer can there dinky medium pacers do the job? Grubich can bowl in any conditions, not sure about the rest...
