A happy new year to all bloggers.
I've just seen the weather forecast for the next 10 days. 38c tis Saturday - normal its summer, but 46c next Saturday in the shade???? That's nuts!!! Is there a heat policy (mainly for the juniors) in place for CAW?
You're right Big Guy. Bulldogs have just rocketed into outright favouritism I reckon. But you're right about the kennel getting crowded. I would imagine Paddies and Lavi will welcome any Bulldogs recruits with open arms lol.
Has someone opened a cheque book over there? Whats the sudden...
Valid point big guy, but I can't see CAW dropping Albury, regardless of their lack of juniors. I think its right across the board that most clubs are struggling to build junior numbers at the moment.
I agree with PDJ though, nobody wants a bye in the season. The other option CAW have, if New...
Well BBCT - if the Border Mail is to be believed, it seems you're spot on with two of them. Tonk and Ball are heading to Wodonga. But I have to agree with Merv here, to walk out on a premiership winning club you've been at for years, just to play with your mate? Very poor form Tonky
I'd be...
To throw my 2 cents in, I agree Big Guy. Shutting off a whole weekend competetion for the rep side? I don't get it. I'm glad the guys got a chance to play in the final and congratulations to them, what ever the result. However to cancel all cricket this weekend seems absurd.
How many guys from...
You're obviously a Lavy boy FCT. I heard news that 4 players, including George Nevinson, have walked out on the club mid season, and signed with East Albury. Apparently more will follow at the end of the season?
I know you said earlier on that the Panther Dome wasn't rocking and rolling, but...
I think you're pretty close to the mark there McD. I dont think anyone can write off Wodonga after their performance last year though, especially with Jackson playing.
North Albury have always enjoyed using smoke and mirros in the off season, but its good to see a few new faces getting a bit...
Just saw an article saying Tallangatta are in a charity 20/20 tournament with 2 other teams in Marysville soon.
Apparently they are raising money for black saturday victims. Bloody good effort by Tallangatta, and more clubs should do something similar.
I've heard several clubs are spending a bit of time getting players fit in the last few months. With a long, hot and dry season ahead, maybe we'll actually get to spend a lot of time on the park this year.
And for a change, I haven't heard anything out of LPO. No dramas, no off field debacles...
I don't know of any major recruits GN, but I reckon you've got the prize for the best profile pic on here LOL. She maybe stupid and painful to listen to, but she's still a hottie!
I did hear a whisper the other day that CAW will be doing away with the relgeation system soon. The story went...
I heard a whisper that New City has lost quite a few players over the off season because they will be in district this year. Seems a pity that all the hard work they did with rebuilding the club, and attracting a lot of juniors might be undone because of a lack of success in the seniors.
What...
I could be wrong here, but I thought it was only New City being relegated after last season?
And I would be very surprised if Sammy O'Connor ended up at North Albury, far to nicer bloke to end up there lol.
Anyone else heard about people changing clubs?
Congratulations to Wodonga. And great to see young Beattie (and not Jackson) made all the runs. Well done Bulldogs. Lavi won B grade aftera fairly spiteful encounter against North Albury and I believe St Pats reclaimed the 3rd grade crown in Div 1, while Bushies won the Div 2 one day comp.
Who...
I should hav mentioned it was good to see Byron Hales get a good write up in the Border yesterday. Nice to see Jackson doesn't get all the headlines at the Bulldogs LOL
Anybody know whats going on with the 3rd grade Div 2 grand final? I see on the CAW website today that Lavington is playing TBA? In the paper yesterday they were playing North Albury weren't they?
Have North Albury finally been caught for doing something shonky, instead of things being swept...
Credit where credit is due Sir Don. Wodonga did very well defending a small total. Imagine, both Lavi and North out of the finals race. Who would of thought that at the styart of the season?
