I think Smith is a great option in the ODI team, Hopes is a clever player aswell - I relly dont see why both couldn't play in a ODI side. Bowling options are always very valuable, but these guys are good enought to bat 6,7,8. Smith is a handy 2nd spinner - Playing with Doherty who will provide...

Mixed messages again from selectors, lets actually hope they give some of these younger guys a go. I would not have offered one to Hughs though, previously a big fan but i think he needs to get away from the game and get his head in order, would have preferred to see a player like George Bailey...

smart franchises will buy up on the solid australian talent and more obscure foreign talent and save a bucketload. Tassie tigers are usually pretty good at this, so maybe look out for the Hobart side?
