So, the home and away season has ended and everyone has mixed opinions about certain sides. Two massive games this weekend and I believe the four are well deserved with the exception of maybe Hawthorn who looked good enough all year only to fall at the final hurdle. For what is is worth, here...
Hmmm well the calm before the storm. Down to the last round and it's unbelievable to see 5 teams can still make finals or miss out for that matter. My tips are:
GI vs. Ashy : GI at home but probably the game of the season
Boronia vs. RC : Boronia to save there spots at home
Mulgrave vs...
Well only two weeks to go and it looks like it has narrowed to a 5 horse race. Congrats must go out to Deepdene for chasing 260 only 4 down. All others were expected except for Hawthorn who let one drop. Could it be that they may be a little to Tongue dependent. Big round ahead this week so...
Well some interesting results on the weekend. Bulleen have definitely thrown a spanner into Deepdene's works. MA scrambled to 220 which with their bowling attack could just be enough. Glen Iris, who have the worst bowling attack in the comp rolled another side for less than 200 and Mulgrave...
Ahhhhh well what a round that just passed and how good is it to have a competition that really, on there day, could be won by anyone in the top 6. I think all will agree that it is great for the league not to mention the conversation front. Anyway, here are my tips for the weekend. Lets hope...
Deepdene vs. Marc OC -
Boronia vs. GI - GI need to win to make finals
Mulgrave vs. Bulleen - Davidson to have a day out with Mulgrave bats
MA vs. RC - Surely
ED vs. Ashy - Ashy must win
Hawthorn vs. St Kevs - Hawthorn with tails up after GI clash
Well it goes without saying that this is a massive weekend for cricket. I hope everyone had a good New Years and is ready for the second half of the season. I believe that the first game after Christmas favours the batting sides as it usually takes the bowlers a week or so to get their lies...
Well it's bloody quiet in here. Tipping there are a few Mulgrave boys who have vanished from the face of the earth. Congrats to st kevs on leading the table at the halfway mark
Well yes, funny is definitely the case. Alas I am not from Boronia just interested to see what everyone though about their chances. This really is one fantastic season for upsets!!!
Hmmm considering Bulleen and Mont Albert made over 300 I'd say the batting weather wasn't too bad last week. It's funny how people keep coming up with excuses for a bad performance. I am sure it has all happened to us before where there is no excuse for the demolition of your batting attack on...
Hmmm well things are heating up in here that's for sure. Hoping we have some good weather on the weekend. As for the Slack debate, don't know him, don't rate him, don't care lol. Picks for the weekend below. I think this week will definitely start to break op the ladder. If you are in the...
Ohhhh I love it. God knows I need some tipping points. Hmmm tough call though. Who are the best short form sides in the competition. My pick : Glen Iris : Lock it in. An no prospect, I don't play for them just think there batting is suited to the short form of the game.
I reckon you've come close to hitting the nail on the head. Mine as follows:
Belleen: Davidson
Deepdene : Parsons
Mulgrave : Spider
Harthorn : Tongue
MA : Wright
Marcellin : Dineen
RC : Laws
St Kevs : Fernon
ED : Crowley
GI : Armstrong
Boronia : ???
The one thing that makes me laugh on this forum is when uneducated people make unwarranted comments. We're four games in and people are writing sides off. I hope everyone agrees that this is the strongest competition we have had in years and by the looks of things anyone can beat anyone on...
You certainly have a bee in your bonnet when it comes to Grubich don't you. Looks like he faired ok on the weekend and you stand by your comment on Armstrong. They guy has made 250+ for the year, definitely hitting the ball badly lol. You don't play for Deepdene by any chance do you...
Well Pintball I do recall you completely writing GI's off saying they have no chance against the best attack in the comp. Some attack, by the looks of things I'd say they got belted all over the park. Bad luck for some of the other sides in strong positions too this week, but definitely some...
