I believe the Caulfield/Malvern washout from earlier in the season is under protest. That would further enhance Caulfields ladder position. Oakleigh and Plenty are the obvious other stand out teams. There were some major upsets early in the season but the bulk of those were short format games...

The wicket at Malvern was average last week, two paced with variable bounce. But to have the 2nd day of the game abandoned is simply unacceptable.

He has struggled to get a regular game after they won the premiership with the inclusion of Hart. There was some talk he would switch clubs over summer possibly to Northcote. He's far to good to be playing premier 2s each week so maybe he has taken a step back to enjoy his Cricket again?

Curators will be starting there work on Thursday this week to get a wicket up due to recent rain. Would be silly and unfair on many clubs to play this week.

Highly unlikely to get a start this Saturday.

Great idea about the T20 being a proper fixture. It's an excellent opportunity for the lower grades to play on main grounds also and for clubs to make a huge day of it.

Any idea who the other potential Caulfield recruits are? Wonder if any will follow Rummans from St Kilda?

Caulfield also done ok. Lost Damiano but have picked up Rummans and a bowler from Geelong Premier Cricket. Peter Cross also going to return.

Don't be surprised if CV start negotiating deals with local councils who basically own all the grounds that Subbies clubs play on.

A few clubs in the North have done well with early recruiting. But I'm sure they realise that's what's required as the South/North group is going to be particularly strong. Oakleigh, Ormond, Caulfield, Brighton, Malvern and an ever improving Elsternwick team are always hard to beat.

Is Brambleby likely to head to Premier Cricket in the next few years? Looks a good prospect. Grundman-Perera from Caulfield also looks a very good player. Very clean striker and his leggies could also be developed.

Jake Thorne should vote heavily. Runs, wickets and influential in most games.
