Fair effort from Ramsey again. That's 2 GF's in a row where he's stood up on the big occasion. When you got blokes like Harley Smith (last years MVP of the GF) not even getting a game you know you're a strong club.
DC for mine. Macleod all out for less than 120
I do like the idea of more one day games and with the restructure of the comp there will be many more one dayers next year.
However it's rare to have matches called off during the year for heat. It's not like it happens every 2 weeks or anything.
An appeal to emotion?
It's just a question, which you were not willing to answer.
The majority of our umpires are 50+ and many suffering medical conditions. Similarly players in lower grades are largely either older blokes or young juniors.
The league have done the right thing and protected...
I said enjoyment is right behind player safety...
Would you be calling it soft if a player or umpire had heat stroke or heart attack on the weekend?
It's club cricket. We aren't playing for sheepstations you peanut
If you want to play so badly then go down to Northcote or Fitzroy and play with them.
I don't care what stats you pull out the only way this game can grow is if people are enjoying playing it. There ain't too many who are going to enjoy playing in such hot temperatures. This is club cricket...
Good even team rate them in the 3-5 mark with likes of Research, Macleod.
Brutal low scoring up at Research? Burton v Macleod next week for the pts by the looks
Unfortunately the reality is that cricket is a sport where people don't really want to work hard and that's why we are playing DVCA not premier cricket.
Majority of clubs training is crap and consists of a hit for a couple of minutes, bowling (well or poorly) and taking a few catches.
I agree...
Very sad news this morning. Inspirational and a ripper fella. Thoughts are with RECCC and the DVCA community as a whole
