    How Do You Train?

its a good idea. I like centre practice when there is a block (herd? twirl?) of spinners bowling together. Can be a real waste of time otherwise.

Good interview. Interesting to hear him say Bradman ran from short balls. Yes, Greg Matthews.

The doosra can be bowled legally.

Off Spinning Variations - Any Variation

Carrom is flicked out with middle finger, Jeff slides out with a bit of thumb. More 'work' on a carrom ball. If you check Lyon's carrom ball on the sixers link, his wrist position is palm to leg-side. Ashwin keeps his palm facing down the pitch, hence better disguise.

Yeah I like Jeff. It's basically an arm ball but with the seam angled to leg-slip like an off-spinner. edit: the first Ashwin delivery there is either carrom ball gone wrong, or its Jeff (or whatever Ashwin calls it instead).

I didn't see that Nathan Lyons Carrom ball that's just been quoted until now, but that ball is Jeff and not the carrom ball. Just saying.

Nathan Lyon, master of disguise! (to the best of my knowledge, that ball didn't make an appearance in the Tests v India this summer)

You've got the Iverson grip as your avatar, bro. Carrom ball.

So Nathan Lyon bowls a thing called 'Jeff' which is not quite an arm ball (@1:30):

    Adjusting To Left Handers

I tend to do the same thing you are describing, to a right hander at (just short of) the toes is great, to a lefty its legside. End of the day, its all bowling: pick your spot, land it there. Just gotta get your mind trained to what that spot is for lefties. I like to bowl without a batsman...

    High Knee/front Leg During Action?

I dunno about high front leg, I suspect it would make little difference. If what you are doing works when you drive off your back leg properly, then getting rid of the 'fail' to drive is what you need to do. If Nathan Lyon imitation helps you do this, then go for it. If it's wearing a hat when...

    Wrist Spin Bowling (part Five)

Hahahaha but with a qualifier: I took 6/40 or 50 odd to win a semi-final, and I literally had no idea as I was walking off. I can remember none of it.

What Made You Decide To Be A Spin-bowler?

I would suggest that if you can't bowl slow-medium tripe, then you cant bowl spin. "Try and hit the stumps" would be my first idea.
