Looking at that scorecard and i think I mentioned it earlier... I can't see cross, Damiano, Dorey and warren not making a run between them again.
When I said King carried Caulfield, I was talking with the ball. He does the damage for them every week.
Looking at mycricket only two blokes got double figures for EH with King carrying Caulfield yet again. He would have to be the quickest bowler in the comp.
As for this weekend, I'm expecting Oakleigh to bounce back against Caulfield. That is going to be some semi final.
Oakleigh and Caulfield miles above the Ormond, NP, EH and Malvern in south east.
Article from the weekends games suggesting caulfield have a 16 year old leg spinner Grunman-perera and took 1-20. Looking at his stats he seems to handle himself pretty well. When we played the fielders early in...
Top 2 will certainly not change, Oakleigh and Caulfield miles ahead of the rest. Other 4 teams just making up the numbers I would have thought. I like noble as a smokey, but the distance in the comps elite and good teams was pretty well confirmed by the bayswater and caulfield game.
Caulfield had 5 ducks vs. Oakleigh. Players of calibre like Damiano, Cross, Dorey and Warren not troubling the scorer would be lucky to happen 1 in 100 starts. Still think it's out of those two though in the south east.
As for Lee Weiss, the bloke is out of his depth. Wouldn't get a go at any...
Certainly some interesting results yesterday. Mount Waverley and moorabbin were the real surprise packets. Top of the table clash next week in SE will give us a premiership favorite. My tip is oakleigh, but do have some doubts over their batting. Unfortunate to see washouts in NW; PV and Weribee...
I take back my comments from the start of the season. Caulfield 7-0 now at half way point, guess they are the real deal. Oakleigh still my pick in SE group but definitely a 2 horse race with 12 scratchings
As I've said previously, I don't think we can judge caulfield as the stand out until they play a top side. I know endeavour have done well early but I would be surprised if they were top 4 come the end of the season. When do Oakleigh and Caulfield meet? That'll be a cracker.
Oakleigh have started a bit shaky but they're still my pick, they have a lot to give still. I'm not sure how you can predict caulfield winning it? They're yet to play what would be considered a competitive side
Well. Glad to get the cobwebs partially removed after day 1 of action yesterday! Who were the big performers?
South div: Looking at scores, most teams have performed to expectations. The most evenly poised game would have to be Noble park v Malvern, that looks to be up for grabs next weekend...
Not sure Melton will finish that high? Recruited well but still a long way to come back from where they've been. Don't think Werribee will win it either, my tip is PV.
As for the SE group, Oakleigh will be top 2 I think. And id put Caulfield in top 2 as well with their 4 or 5 recruits...
Late signing announced at Endeavor Hills of a Sri Lankan fist classed named Gamindu Kanishka.
Has form in first class of an average of 50 but played in the diamond valley league for greensborough and did sweet f all.
Who's everyone's tip from premiership/top 4 in each division?
Plenty valley for mine in the north/west , not too sure about the south/east.... Oakleigh, Malvern, Caulfield, Bayswater? Take your pick
