Re: Big Hitters in APS
There is some guy at MGS, i think they call him teeth or beef or something like that (not Keath) and when he gets going he smashes it. Can anyone shed some light on that??
Re: APS Season 09/10
Yeah for sure. Its horrible especially on APS decks to have to come on as a spinner and bowl to some set openers. The pacemen need to get early wickets and let the spinners either restrict or just collect the crums.
Re: APS Season 09/10
You obviously havent faced him, he hasnt gone for over 3 an over in his life and took apart xavier and caulfield. if you are going to make a comment then keep it to cricket and keep it accurate.
Re: APS Season 09/10
lots of teams are relying heavily on spin attacks this year from what I see. Xavier have Ryan and Prior, Caulfield have Gilmour and Lannigan, MGS have DeFegely and Harrod, BGS have Zaia and Moffit. I am actually quite surprised about this as most wickets are very batting...
Re: APS Season 09/10
yeah MGS vs Caulfield will be a big game. Grammar is coming off a great effort both batting and bowling, all those who have seen Flack park will know that holding a team to 160 odd is a phenomenal effort. MGS have had a much tougher start to the season and that could...
Re: Best Batsman Season 08/09
big call mate. yeah Gotch is a gun but whilst watching my brothers in 2006 i saw Vance (the APS record holder) bat and he was unbelievable. i think he scored 7 tonnes or something ridiculous like that, that record is pretty safe.
Re: Next Year
that is not what i was saying at all, you couldnt have gotten it more wrong. What i am saying is that just because you played a year in the ones at a school that struggled to win games, that doesnt make you a better cricketer than a guy who has done well in the twos or 10A's at...
Re: Next Year
I thought about adding scotch to my list and now you mention them i probably should have. They have some quality players no doubt but so does everyone and from what i know about their bowling attack, they rely quite a bit on part timers. There is no doubt in my mind that the APS...
Re: Next Year
Without doubt the fast bowling stocks will suffer greatly as voyage and cameron were very good. As for the spinners, Bett is going to be a massive loss but in my opinion the combination of Harrod and De Fegely can fill the void. Harrod probably (at the moment) cant bowl the...
Re: Next Year
Seriously though next year will be between Xavier, MGS, Caulfield and Brighton. Each team have some key contributers who look set to tear the comp apart next year.
Xavier have Ryan, Tiernan and Sorrenti to make the runs, and Bergin and Pryor (is that how you spell it??) to...
Re: Next Year
its true, i play local cricket with him, he has multiple catchphrases "WHAT ABOUT!", "COWABUNGA DUDES!" and "THATS THE WAY THE COOKIE CRUMBLES".
i say well done "can't help but go large", xavier have been giving send offs since the wednesday afternoon games down at koska...
Re: Next Year
i must agree. Even though MGS lose 7 of their 12 from this year. They still retain some key players:
Keath has been a permanent player since the end of year nine and is starting to bowl.
Jenkins dominated year 10 cricket last year and has taken some key form into this year...
Re: Rep Cricket
geez teamorale lay off. if blond bond (who isnt actually blond) wants to correct you then let him, i am not even going to mention the fact that he thought birds mated with pollen.
Re: Triggered!
nah mate not much since i made quite a few runs about 6 years ago and ill tell you something sonny jim, the umpiring back then was tougher and the wickets were not like they are now. i had to earn every run.
