    Sky sports cricket

    One thing I've noticed recently is that on the Sky Sports app there are now 30 second ads before each video, even short ones. There's no skip button which is frustrating. I'm a paying customer too but even so the ads on YouTube are less intrusive.

    I heard this too. I think with a lot of sports though the origins are uncertain and probably the sports we see today are a combination of several similar games.
