That's interesting RS - what do most 3rd grade cricketers do? Last i looked most teams were involved in the one day comp......that would have about 200+ people not at the weir! Based on this discussion i thought of reviewing how many 2 day games had teams bat out the overs.....why don't you do...

Well said FCT. Players will move from clubs on occasions for differing reasons, there's quite a bit of it going on at the moment which is a real shame - what happened to loyalty? Good approach though, if players don't want to be at a club for whatever the reason you need to let them move on and...

Are North Albury taking a backward step appointing Middo. From all accounts his efforts at Raiders last year were pretty bad....interesting move!

Yes i agree Mick, i thought Tallangatta might have got there but obviously age is catching up with a few of their warriors. I really can't see Dederang getting anywhere near Mt.Beauty and apparently the toss won their game against New City - It seems that New City might have been unsettled by...

Hi All, I spoke with a board member over the weekend "off the record" and we discussed this and relegation. Apparently New City did nothing wrong, the player coming in was a substitute for young I'Anson who had sanctioned rep duties on the Sunday - the rules allow for a replacement player when...

Very interesting round in both District and Provincial. East Alb are up and about and Albury look certain to be relegated now. Lavy finding form which is another ominous sign as on paper they are certainly the best team in it. Last years Premiers are gone and won't make finals now. Belvoir...

A bit quiet on here so consider the following: Halfway through the season and some interest at both ends of the table in the Provincial Comp. Looks as though relegation will be a 3 horse race between Belvoir, Albury and East Albury Belvoir have managed to just stay out of the relegation zone...

    Cricket Albury/wodonga

Interesting round guys. The Alb V East Alb result could decide who is relegated already. If East lose they are in all sorts of bother. All other results are as expected. District looks to be more interesting then provincial with an even looking competition. New City look stronger on paper...

How did all this happen, i thought he was ensconced at the dogs? will be a handy recruit for Raiders just not sure they need to now burn some of their young blokes by over recruiting wodonga players....i can't see why wodonga players would leave though......what are the issues at the dogs to...

More then happy to eat my words and congratulate Wodonga, they certainly surprised me. The return of Roberts certainly helped. well done to all at the WCC. I must admit i haven't heard much about next year but i do believe Westy left New City halfway through last season and everyone at Urana...

Munch munch munch....here that, its me eating my hat. well done wodonga a mighty effort and a well deserved win, lavy and nth Albury would have been smiling like cheshire cats on the saturday night and i certainly tipped them both to win. i think that'll be the last final at bilson, 200 runs...

Love your post LTG its very humorous stuff.....i'll chip in here as well and "have a conversation with myself".....absolute gold.....but i better be careful not to agree with you again....or is that me again? Old Sir Don must have a real hate for New City, so go on old mate do tell who at that...

Wow your a regular Sherlock Holmes Sir Don. If you read my posts you will see that i agree and disagree with most everyone on here but you carry on and draw whatever aspersions you wish.....must of what you post is absolute dribble anyway so why stop now?:p For the record i would rather see a...

    Cricket Albury/wodonga

mAtey, i'm not sure that LTG is from New City, if you read his post properly you will see that he actually mentions he can't wait to play Wodonga in the second week of finals."we can't wait to play you guys if you survive week one". I think he has a valid point about Jackson holding the key to...

    Cricket Albury/wodonga

Yes i agree that's very interesting....seems the toss of the coin will win the game. Not sure that New City would toss up an unplayable pitch but i think its an interesting concept to prepare something that has "a bit of green" for a change......why not produce a wicket with something in it for...

    Cricket Albury/wodonga

Yes absolutely LTG. Its pretty easy to widen the parameters of a rule once it has been put into place. If a player wants to leave a relegated or promoted club because his personal position has changed (new job, moves house, changes religion whatever) then these things would need to be considered...

Interesting perspective GHG. If you want the club you are playing at to stay in prov or district you had better perform accordingly! end of story....and don't forget that every second game is a home game but i do agree that the travel issue is worth noting and something CAW should consider...
