New Zealand finish their 50 at 254-7. McCullum was top scorer with 96. Taylor got 50 and Tait picked up 3 wickets.

Gilchrist out for 51 after just 8 overs!

Australia 109-2 after 16 overs. Ponting and Clarke are going to get them halfway home by the 20th over.

Ponting is at 51, Clarke is on 33, and Australia need only 101 to win.
They obviously have the match well in control at this point.

Easy win for Australia, 255-3 after 42.3 overs.
Ponting finished 107 not out.

Great stuff by Australia. McCullum had them worried early but they were able to break through and the rest of the NZ order didn't score as much as they needed. Great cameo at the start by Gilchrist and the cool head of Ponting coupled with Clarke saw them win easily.

Looking forward to the next game.
