1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Kenya will host Bermuda for 3 ODIs. Most everyone expects an easy series win for Kenya, but Bermuda usually plays a close match and steals a win at the end of some series. Can they start this one out with a win? Not likely.

Bermuda
SD Outerbridge, J Edness, IH Romaine, JJ Celestine, DL Hemp, JJ Tucker, LOB Cann, RJ Trott, MO Jones, KAD Hurdle, RDM Leverock

Kenya
MA Ouma, DO Obuya, N Odhiambo, A Obanda, SO Tikolo, CO Obuya, JK Kamande, TM Odoyo, LN Onyango, PJ Ongondo, HA Varaiya

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Kenya won the toss and decided to bowl.

So far, that looks to be a good decision, as they've already picked up the wickets of Outerbridge and Romaine.

Bermuda 24-2 after 10 overs.

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Edness out for 12

Bermuda 27-3 after 12 overs.

Peter Ongondo has picked up all 3 wickets.

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

7/131 now in the 31st over.

Lameck Onyango and Jimmy Kamande have taken two wicket each since Cleazer's previous post.

Lionel Cann made a quickfire 52 from just 32 balls to up the run rate but was dismissed five minutes ago. Bermuda really needed him to stay there for them to have a shot at getting a competitive score. That need now rests on the tail.

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Bermuda was 51-5 when Lionel Cann came in.

He scored a very quick 52 before being bowled by Jimmy Kamande, and it looks like Cann will help Bermuda at least get to a sort of respectable score. Well, respectable I guess in the sense that it looked like they'd be all out for less than 100.

Bermuda 133-7 after 31. Trott and Leverock are the batsmen.

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Leverock out, 137-8

Definitely starting the series off on the wrong foot for Bermuda.

Re: 1st ODI: Kenya v Bermuda at Nairobi

Bermuda were bowled out for 174.

Kenya got the runs in 28.2 overs making 2/175 in reply. Bermuda got David Obuya early but Alex Obanda knuckled down to take the Kenyans to an easy win along with Steve Tikolo. Ouma, the keeper, was the second wicket and final wicket to fall at 101.

Hurdle and Trott were the wicket-takers.

Second game is at Nairobi once again on Saturday.

Pretty easy win for Kenya, finishing it in less than 30 overs.
They got the job done both bowling and batting.
