1st ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Oh dear, West Indies is about to lose to Zimbabwe.

West Indies is 213-6 after 47.2 overs. They need 62 runs from 16 balls. :(

Zimbabwe was put in to bat first, and scored 274.
Chibhabha was the top scorer with 73, and Matsikenyeri added 55.
Chigumbura, Masakadza, and Taylor also contributed some runs.

In reply, West Indies have been almost a one-man team. Chris Gayle and Devon Smith were each out early, Samuels made 25 and Runako Morton scored a very useful 54, but other than them, it's been all Chanderpaul, who is still in there at 113 not out.

14 runs from the 49th over, but West Indies is only 238-6.
They need an impossible 37 runs from the final over.
Chanderpaul up to 126 in a losing effort.

West Indies finished 243-8, Chanderpaul not out on 127.
Zimbabwe won by 31 runs. Chigumbura picked up 3 wickets for only 24 runs.

A shameful result for the West Indies, but this may be a sign that Zimbabwe has continued to improve over the past few months.

Pretty terrible effort from the Windies. Just when you though they were making an improvement they turn in an effort as pitiful as this against one the worst sides going around.

Need a major overhaul over there for them to improve and catch up to the seven major cricket nations.
